The limit is 2 normal Amex Credit Card, 1 personal charge card and 1 DJ amex credit card. Has been discussed in length on these forums.

I'm interested to know the eligibility bonus as I currently hold 1 normal Amex CC and 1 DJ Amex CC. I plan to cancel the normal Amex CC soon whilst keeping the DJ Amex CC. Will the 18 month embargo period apply or do I have to close down the DJ Amex CC to be eligible for future welcome bonuses?

I recently upgraded from Normal DJ ---> Platinum DJ Card via call centre and already received bonus 40K points after 3 spend with the new cards

So some tips for anyone who thinking about apply for this card ,

Step 1 : Apply for the normal DJ Card first , got the bonus points
Step 2 : Call up and upgrade to the Platinum Version of the card , received the new card and got the second round of bonus

Your 18 month exclusion to normal amex bonuses will apply from from your closing date of your normal amex card.

The 18 month exclusion to Amex DJ cards will apply once you've closed your amex DJ card.

Isn`t the upgrade bonus supposed to be 50K points?

My understanding is that it is 40k points as that's what's written on most DJ brochures in store.

The only thing I can find about 50k rewards are referral points for a full application, not upgrade.

Have you got an upgrade with 50k points? Any information regarding this because that would be helpful to bring to their attention

It used to be 50 K for an upgrade. I got it a few months ago.
Does anyone know if one can get an upgrade via a full application by referral? thus getting a referrer points as well.

Hi All,

Grab the opportunity before amex devalues amex -> marriott transfer rate. This is one of the few card that will honor sign up bonus points regardless if you have previous held any other non DJ amex card.
David Jones Amex card & DJ Amex Platinum card are great to have as an additional card. Best thing of this card is despite if you have previously held a amex issued credit card or not, we will be eligible to get sign up bonus on this card.
