I'm sure you are onto that with that particular set-up, with any chemicals in the pool, the grass and plants around it will be dead in a few days, with any water splash

I tried to get a set-up like that abt 12 years ago (as bedrock is shallow), and not finding anything, went for a conventional above-ground spa.

Have you seen the round concrete pools? I'd like a 3m deep fish pond with a meandering water course leading to it, all fresh water. MrsProzac says she doesn't want to swim with fish. I told her it will be just like dipping in the dam on the farm.

Pools are a pita, I have tried to sell mine and failed, then I offered to give it away..and failed..
Ok there is a bit of work involved.. it is 12.5m long and probably weighs 30 tonne or so.. but really .. a free pool ?? nope.. no interest
It is not even legal to fill it with sand and plant roses unless the shell is demolished..what a waste..
I was planning to pay someone to take the rotten away before deciding to sell the whole shebang to free myself from it's clutches
Pool=misery...

That's why I am thinking a plunge pool, with fish so it is a fish pond.

Fortunately, the Outback is basically a stock tank/plungie that can be rolled in and out.

Got our next fortnight update and depressed because we're now thinking April handover. 😭

At least three builders inspections plus our PCI inspection to be done plus a handful of things still to be finalised, like painting new downpipe and stacker door frame rectification and my SS blue taped for the 4th time. I appreciate his attention to detail but might have to take the blue tape away from him.

Don't know if I shared our filtered water tap and large sink. Tap is hot and cold plus filtered. We rarely wash by hand but loved the big sink, it can take the big slow cooker insert or roaster for a scrub before throwing into the dishwasher.

That sucks about the delay but I do love a large sink but I think I would have liked a bit of draining rack next to it

The sink in the butlers has a drainer and this sink will have a drainer grid on the bottom of it but again, its really for big items for a hand scrub or plate rinse before going into the dishwasher

i’m meant to ask before. That looks like separate hot and cold taps – no mixer tap?

Hot and cold mixer on the left in the photo and filtered water on the right in the photo

Pantry shelving fixed 😍

Wrong shelving

Corrected shelving, bottom and top shelf added

I know the gap between the bottom shelf and first shelf is 10cm shorter than the others but I proposed this fix as I didn't want everything ripped out and redone, delaying the build by weeks. The bottom shelf is still 35cm high so big enough to store bulk/heavy items. The photo looks deceiving.

The last few weeks of the build are the most painful as you are so close but have to wait for tradies to fix small things so you can go days with nothing happening.

Currently waiting for stacker door frame fix because I witnessed the window guy hitting it with a hammer and it now has dent marks. I even emailed my SS at the time, saying "he was hitting it like he didn't pay for it... ha, ha, he didn't pay for it I did.".

Window guy showed up for about 20mins today and then left, frame not fixed and he left the stacker door wide open so I don't know if he's coming back and I've texted my SS. So the wait continues as we can't get to PCI without this fixed.

We also had another clean but the manager said it wasn't good enough so they'll be back. I also got my own construction clean quote of $500 and I might use this company for fortnight cleans.

Thank you. I know its not to everyone's taste and not todays fashion (the 50 shades of monochrome gray people are obsessed with) but Mr Denali likes blue and I dont hate it so we're happy. I tried to convince him of the rear upper cupboards being white or wood finish but nope, blue it is.

He also chose the flooring as at that point of the process he was very stressed so it was pick your battles and he did a good job.
