Denali Demo and Rebuild

Installed the colorbond sheeting around the the scaffolding leg. A neat job of it but yes, its going to have to be removed and the entire sheet & blanket under replaced for that section.

Theyve been leaf blowing the roof every day but we've been picking up cans of drinks in the gutters - the V cans are small enough to get into the downpipes
The roofers have a sense of humour.

Make sure when the bathroom tilers do their tiling, that they DO NOT sweep their mess into the floor waste pipe. My old work attended so many new homes with blocked pipe work due to broken tiles being swept into the drain as a means of “clean up”.
The blocked drains wont raise its head until you have been living in the house for a few days/weeks.
I would go so far as getting the drains water blasted at the end of construction - but that’s me after 20 years in plumbing.

Our plumbing has something just inside it, blocking it on purpose, but we also put caps on some of them for the same reason. I dont know why some tradies do this (what you posted above), its a bit disrespectful, knowing how much new homes cost and it cost nothing to be a bit cleaner.

I admit to also now owning an Ikea bag and steel toe volleys and doing a rubbish pickup most days 🤣 A full bag most days.

Brickies still on site, working their way up and our Sparkies started today. Also got our air con delivery.

We have so much wiring/future proofing we need a sub board. Hubby proposed we put it in the hallway but thankfully he understood the look I gave him and it will be in the garage, next to the battery wall.

And now a sand delivery.

But we needed an aircon site meeting to discuss air con tubing thingies and bulk heads to make it work for Master bed and my WFH nook. Thankfully we have 3.3mtrs ceilings so can sacrifice the 300-400mm at the end of a hallway that leads to our master & study, running through the top of the linen and change round vent in ceiling to a vent. At least round vent in ceiling is no longer over the bed, which is good. We're happy with this and decision made quickly to move forward.

Wow, they are very well coordinated.

I asked my SS if he was the Tradie Whisperer, to get them all to work together at the same time.

And now our Data installers are on site, for something to do with the smart hub and NBN and TVs and internet.... Im not sure exactly what a smart hub is but, again, hubby is excited. At least the brickies have finished for the day, they get here about 5.45am, so the front of the house doesnt look like a Tradie expo with utes and vans 🤣

For a sand pit?
Going by the music choices of the data people, to help recreate the Ibiza techno beach party experience 🤣

How do you know all this stuff? I am very spatially challenged and this would do my head in.
Some things I need to see, like the bulkhead for master and study area now needed so I said to the Tradie, use your best knowledge and take on board what hubby said, as long as it doesn't look like poop, I'm OK with it. For power, data, plumbing ect, look at what makes sense and think, where are my data points or why are they there and not over there.

I like to think my SS appreciates me picking this stuff up so it won't need costly rectification work. Next week I'm going through the site with him as there's a couple of extra noggins I want, for hand and grab rail just in case. I can smash those in if I have to.

I also printed on A3 and laminated our drawings so easy to walk around or discuss with each tradie, like we did yesterday.

We need a 👏👏👏icon and I'm in awe one. Can't wait to see pictures of everything when it's done.

Brickwork completed and our brickies gave us a wind-chime for the new house. We love wind chimes.

Chippys now on site, doing mysterious things inside.

I also ordered chicken and got 9 large boxes of Cadbury Favorites instead and Coles told me to keep them as they won't pick up so I guess my Tradies get chocs today 🤣
