For those of us who shop at DJs, I tried to use my DC at the new DJs Barangaroo and it didn't work on Friday.

Possibly just the terminal. At Stratco Hardware near home I can use DC at one checkout and not the next one along.

Might give it another try next week. Makes sense. Was wanting to buy some lunch from the food counter. Don't yet need anything from the rest of the store.

Just received a replacement DC card as current one was a bit tatty. New one is very shiny but still no chip/paypass

I'm guessing Xmas has got in the way of the Diners-SPG transfer process. I transferred on the 22nd December and am still waiting. It has been pretty good for most of the year, I hope it isn't a sign that we are going back to the bad old days. :(

IS anyone else experiencing a longer than usual wait?

My Decembers transferred on the 8th and landed on 21st but obviously not over the holiday

My 8th Jan transfer arrived on 16th Jan which is as good as I've known it

On another matter I had to call Diners to check (and pre-emptively authorise) a transaction in MYR that was proving troubling to do online on the Malaysian site. I received two calls after the transaction cleared to confirm all OK. One of them encouraged me to use the card for other bookings citing the travel insurance.

Tried to use my D.C. to buy some Coles MCGC today (no longer have an Amex Edge & wanted SPG points at max earn).
Declined. Spent 40 mins on the phone at self checkout with constant reassurances from D.C. We're going to resolve it at any moment.
They also asked why I was buying GCs with the obvious answer being D.C. acceptance is minimal so this would help. After they started asking specifically what I intended to pay, how much and could I substantiate it, I told them to forget it and I would be paying by Amex. I think wth GC strategy is a legitimate, if not time intensive for those of us committed to point collecting, way of legitimately earning points with our favored payment method at places where it's not accepted.
However, with the increasing compliance focus, we run the risk of being seen as money launderers and then to spend valuable time proving we're legitimate. D.C. wouldn't approve the $525 charge initially and could otherwise only approve the lot (10 x $525) in one line.
Ended up using my Amex Explorer with slightly lower earn rate.
Bit of a rant. Disappointed with D.C. as Coles is one place you can reliably use it. Not much point in having it otherwise.

Diners put a hold on account after 2 transactions, rang them up and told them it was legitimate and no problems putting next 10 through. I think the diners agent rang security to take the hold off.

They did the same for me but from first attempt. Could only get 2 transactions through before was re-blocked.
No pre-set spending limit comes with a very tight leash with D.C. Glad Amex have been easier to deal with on their charge cards - at least so far. Shouldn't be getting blocked for $525 transactions - at least not on the first one.

I was blocked yesterday but it was my 8th transaction in 4 different Coles in the previous 24h. DC called me within 10 minutes and offered to approve but I had already paid with Amex

My 23rd Jan transfer to SPG has still not gone through yet. :( My Amex transfer yesterday has already hit my SPG account.

The current BA 35% bonus on hotel points transfer is a reminder of what could be if the DC points transfer was reliable. #sigh#

Same here. Transfer from the 20th Jan still not through. No point calling as they it is usually 28 days which is not what the website says when you do the transfer.

I recentlly did a transfer of DC points to SQ, and to my surprise it went through in < 24 hours.

I find I need to track the points earn every month. Most times are spot on but occasionally there is a glitch when you get fewer points. In the past six months I've had this happen twice & lost about 4500 points. I've tried a couple of times to reason with them on the phone (there is no email contact) but either cannot understand or unwilling to do anything about it so I've given up. I'll try haggling over the annual fee when it comes around maybe.

Hi,
I've just made a D.C. Points transfer for a stay at a new Marriott resort in a month. I understand the 'standard' time is 28 days but there are reports of it having taken less. Curious as to how long transfers have been taking now. I usually only transfer when I've identified a redemption opportunity otherwise keep my points with D.C. Maybe I should start transferring them every month so I'm not in a rush next time!
