Discussion on Cats, Moggies and Felines in general [with Pictures]

Picked him up today @ 13 weeks bigger with a mask coming & incredible blue eyes. Apparently they grow to about 9kg so he's going to be a big cat

Its a Ragdoll isn't it? Looks a lot like mine was as a kitten. Awesome cats - they really love hanging close to you. They do grow big but our Max (4 y.o. now) is very fit, lean and long, not fat. Not great jumpers or climbers though, they really prefer to be relaxing at ground level. Ours rules our household, that's for sure.

Yep he's 14 weeks & 2.2kg,eats like a horse and has a serious attitude, very vocal, runs up and down the metal screen doors so the climbing is going ok!!

My latest cats are coughs. They will run to anyone who enters the house and want to play. They are very friendly and trusting, I think something is wrong with them.

Last trip was 2 weeks in Niseko and they went to a friend's apartment, as she wanted to try having a cat anyway. I have 2 friends who are vets who can board then but I'd prefer they have more room than a cage for the bulk of the time.

How are they with the Roomba? I would so get one if it meant Pushkin would sit on it and ride it around. I don't think he would though.

It wasn't mine- they were being house-sat. But apparently they follow it around the house, and seem to quite enjoy it. Would keep them occupied so I'm waiting for the LG to go on special. Gets the best reviews.

I think just in general, but I imagine they will do a good job on the hair. It will just need emptying multiple times on the initial use, and regularly ongoing.

We have a dyson with the pet hair attachment. I want a robot vacuum, but I figured none would get the hair up as good as the dyson.

But I just stopped in to say.. my cat is the best. She is so lovely.
Everyone always said (Remember this is the first cat I have owned) to me that cats were non affectionate and only spoke to you when they wanted food.. or something and dogs are much better, they are a companion.

Well, either I picked the right cat (she was free so the right price for me), or those people are just cynics. When ever I am sick, and these past few days that I have been sad/in an odd mood, she hasn't left my side… I almost feel like she is "attachment parenting" me.

My boy is the same. If ever I am sick or upset, he's always there looking after me.

Either they're cynics or haven't met the right cat. I guess the thing is that the cat has to want to do it just because they want to, where dogs are more likely to want to please you than themselves.

My Siamese found a bottle of stamp ink. This is not the end of it. There was a lot in front of the keyboard and on my strides before I realised that had happened.\

Here is the culprit "helping" me pack:

There's a cat seriously trying to adopt us at the minute. He lives across the street. Visits periodically where we feed him (tuna) and usually leaves afterwards. Last night I got home from work after midnight and he was sitting outside the front door. I let him in, he seemed to be wanting to be fed. Afterwards instead of going to the door he disappeared and I found him fast asleep beside my youngest daughter :!: (I left him there)

I think he's a red Burmese. Must be mad to like us as we have a crazy Lab who wants to play with him all the time.

He's obviously quite domesticated then. He looks lovely. I'd be worming him though. Listen to me, advising a Doctor! :p

Sounds like he/she prefers living at your place PF, must be all the John West.

It was 2004 when our cat found us. No matter how hard we tried to "move her on" she would not leave. We just gave up and now Munn the Cat is part of the family.
