Discussion on Cats, Moggies and Felines in general [with Pictures]

Thanks everyone for your thoughts, she is still hanging in there, we really don't want to take her to the vet tomorrow and due to staff shortages they have said they would be unlikely to able to make a home visit, we'd so much rather she died in her sleep.

Well as much as we don't want to do it, she is going to the vet. :( She isn't in any pain, but I'm sure that's the drugs, but she isn't drinking and hasn't eaten for days.

An old photo of her.

Just a couple of more photos, this was her in May last year, normally she (or any of them) wouldn't be allowed on the bench.

Again, thanks so much for your replies, it really does mean a lot to us.

Our thoughts also with you Cossie. We lost our M. Boo Boo today at 18 yrs 8mths. He has had chronic renal failure for over 12 months and last night he let us know that it was time for him to go.

Oh Bazzi, I am so sorry for you. So hard. Boo Boo looked a beautiful boy and I bet he was loved dearly. At nearly 19 years he had a long and I am sure wonderful life.

So sorry to hear that Bazzi, not a good day at all, our condolences. :(

Noticed in the photo that it seems that M. Boo Boo is eating grass, our little girl liked to do that as well.

Thanks everyone for your lovely condolences.

All of our cats are indoor cats but occasionally Messr. Boo Boo was allowed a walk in the garden and a chew on some grass as we knew he wouldn't take off.

He was the most brilliant cat (and we've had 10 cats - 8 at once - now down to 3 black cats! Yes, yes, I know, not by design I can assure you, we're just suckers!) never did the wrong thing, didn't pick on any of the others, loved his routine, was very intuitive. He was a British Blue Shorthair (as was Bazzi) - a fantastic breed - and I'd dearly love another but feel I would be disappointed if it didn't have the disposition of Messr. Boo Boo. We can't quite remember how he ended up with a French salutation given he was British!

On Sunday night he insisted on coming up onto the bed, looked at my partner and I, meowed as if to say 'clearly I am going to have to be the adult here and make the decision?' and we just knew then it was time.

I held him through till his last breathe. We buried him next to Bazzi, in the garden, along with the others. We will miss him forever.

As I read these expressions of love and remembrance my Petal is getting extra cuddles.

In a world where so much is wrong it is heartening to hear of the love that our animals provide.
