Well fishing cat's been at it again, even though there is a trellis over the top of the pond. Fish appears to be still alive and daughter has placed it back in pond.

all said in jest :)

I have never understood why women love cats. Cats are independent, they don't listen, they don't come in when you call, they like to stay out all night, and when they're home they like to be left alone and sleep. In other words, every quality that women hate in a man, they love in a cat.

So many options here! But suffice to say as a non-female I also prefer cats over other species...;)

Scottish wildcats are beautiful looking animals but not one to pick up and cuddle. There have been efforts to reintroduce them to some areas and I read an interesting article about a program to desex domestic and feral cats to stop interbreeding.
We saw an African wildcat when we were at Timbavati last year, much smaller but similar tabby markings. Unfortunately the glimpse was all too fleeting.

A good idea.

Certainly is a good idea, will definitely consider this when we are no longer pet free, missing ours terribly, how long will we last until we succumb!

Our cat has recovered from his giardia issue. Mmmm. First poop after a few days and on the bed, like he was showing me he was better. . On my side. Lucky he had recovered....
I wonder if this whole incident was a pay back for boarding because it kicked in just after and the day we arrived back from Bali. He hates boarding.
