Discussion on Cats, Moggies and Felines in general [with Pictures]

A funny thing happened last night. Son has gone out and so both cats were roaming around until a little later I heard a kerfuffle. Master cat had visitor bailed up at the window ledge while he was watching from below. She wasn't stressed. She is a cute little thing but given they'd been like that for over an hour I thought I'd give her a break so I picked her up. At the same time Master cat dashed out the door. Fine, I'll put her in her sleeping area where she knows she won't be bothered by him. It was around 9pm anyway.

Then I couldn't find Master to put him to bed. Searched everywhere then gave up and started reading in bed expecting to find him later.

An hour later I wanted to try to sleep so another search. Could not find him anywhere. Then son arrived home and he helped search. Master is a bother during the night if he roams so really wanted to put him into his room for the night.

Then son said - You don't suppose....

So we dashed off to 'visitors room' again and sure enough. There were both cats just sitting there locked in a small room together. To think I'd put the lady visitor there as it was her only quiet place without him.

She just hisses at him and he flees. But he can't help himself and a minute later he is back.

Son and partner fly out to Manchester tomorrow. She arrives here tonight so hopefully the cats behave or she will stress out while she's away.

They are constantly amazing....
Hope they do play nice tonight so that the partner is not worried while she is away.

Have been at daughter's today and one of her cats is a bit stressed about something. He even peed on the bathroom rug yesterday. He is quite a sensitive puss and is easily upset. Madam cat was fine and even came in to say hello, well if the truth be known to scoff her breakfast :)

Google 'cats and squares on floor'

It works

They've got a game going. Master Cat (MC) chases visitor cat (VC) full bore on the wooden floors. VC suddenly stops and MC hits the skids. VC snarls which sends MC bolting away. At which point VC chases him. And so on.

Dug out this old toy and put in batteries.

Cats are now knackered after a busy play day.

Just like kids. Exhaust them and then enjoy the peace.

Awww Munn! Just looked beside me and there is an almost identical pose going here. Rather than sleeping in his cave with his heated disc...

Diabetes management is going well here. He's back to vet this week for his next glucose curve.

We are sitting on 1 unit twice daily. Not able to track water consumption too much as there are also 2 dog bowls around and thankfully he's also peeing in his specially made garden bed vs always in the tray.

Will be interesting to see what his BSL is on admission. I suspect dose needs to go up a Unit.

Glad Munn is going well though.

I wish I was a cat. Yesterday was a cat nap day. Freakin cold in Canberra hey?

Hubby's heading to Canberra by car on the weekend. I'm glad it's him and not me, haha

Come on folks, our weather is not that bad :)

It may be cold overnight but the days are shaping up to be pleasant in the mid teens. If it's not windy it's really nice in the sun. Actually the projected overnight temps are warmer than originally forecast with no minus 5s anymore.
We walked down to the NGA on Sunday to go to a concert and it was cool enough walking back (5 C) but we're tough!

I can see the attraction of being a cat though :)
