Discussion on Cats, Moggies and Felines in general [with Pictures]

This is all too real.

Not unexpected vet results for the glucose curve - the very low dose he was on hasn't made headway. So another little adjustment up for next two weeks and also changing to a predominantly raw diet.

Time in car getting to vet, to work, to vet, to home: 3.2 hours...

Visitor cat has been a bit of a grump this morning. She's taken to polishing off her (introduced by me ) breakfast and then Master cats meal. It doesn't seem to bother him. But she's been a bit of a boss this morning. She's walking around the house whinging. She's looking for him. I didn't know where he was until I sat on the bed for a while then noticed a movement under the quilt.

He's hiding from her!

The other night we mislaid her. We were looking for a few minutes then MrP spotted her. Master seemed a little worried too so when he realised she had been located he jumped up to where she was, kind of nudged her with his nose, then satisfied, he jumped down again.

Before we got our monsters, we used to have two Burmese kittens visit us during the day. Us being both shift workers were quite often at home during the day when the owners were at work.
Being the big softies that we are, we let them in and referred to them as our Clayton's cats.
One day we had to go out and couldn't find one of them to put outside, searched high and low, not to be found. We had quite a fluffy down bed cover and the 'lost' one was under this sleeping. You couldn't see them without removing the cover.

My Burmese loves hiding in my bed as described above.

Barry does this also. He nudges his nose under the blanket, then forces the rest of himself under. Then, if he's disturbed too much of the blanket, he noses it back into place!

I've been a bit naughty. Master enjoys a teaspoon of canned food. He kind of mushes it and leaves a bit behind. Which I've recently noticed seems to get eaten up by our guest.

So I gave her a small portion a couple of days ago. She's a quick learner. Every time she sees me in the kitchen with a spoon she ducks into her sleep area and waits.

Oh Pushka, she has such a gorgeous face! <3

You can certainly tell her parents. A black cat and a ginger. Tufts of orange throughout a black cat. She's a rescue one with a beautiful nature but boy she's determined. She hates being locked in at night. That box with the bottle of kitty litter is full of paper. I jam that against the door then on the other side I hammer a wedge to stop her dislodging the door. But she still gets out! A webcam would be fascinating. Plus she's 'dug' out a patch of 2 inch square carpet where the door opens - in 2 weeks!

Gawd. Not one but 2 cats. Got out suitcase to check for packing bags.

Cats are being a little bit ornery today. Both responsible. Had to separate them earlier. Missy seems a bit skittish today that freaks the Master out who then gets a bit jumpy. Three more nights. I've had them on my own this week as MrP escaped to Melbourne. Feel like a cat lady.

Barry is a very fine fellow - looks to be right in control.

Rufus, our new addition to the madhouse, I'm not sure he's coping with it all, whaddyathink?
Obviously he will take a long time to settle in...not! He is very cute.

Yes, Master looks a little annoyed with young missy there.
Oh, you feel like a cat lady? Suppose it's better than being a bag lady. :)

Is this packing getting ready for the next jaunt?
