Discussion on Cats, Moggies and Felines in general [with Pictures]

Talking about Cats going missing and micro chipping.

When Michelle's two-year-old cat Astro went missing almost five years ago, she said she had "never expected to see him again".

Michelle said while her story had a happy ending, it was an important lesson for families who thought they were doing the right thing by looking after a supposedly "stray" animal.
"This is such a huge reminder to anybody who has a friendly cat come to visit them constantly... that it doesn't hurt to take them down for a microchip check," she said.
"I could have had my baby back four and a half years ago had someone [got] him checked – [but] I'm so glad to have him back."

'I was in shock': missing cat reunited with Perth owner after nearly five years

A should I, shouldn't I question re Petal.

Should I let her watch the National Geographic shows where big cats kill large animals? I swear she is watching and getting ideas about what she would love to do!

Her eyes follow the big cats and I reckon she's thinking that looks like fun.

She's been known to walk around me in bed so maybe she's deciding if she could take me whilst I sleep?

Make no mistake, whether she watches the big cats or not - she's already determined whether she can take you down while you sleep!

There has been cases of people passing and their dog/cat consuming parts of their deceased owner after getting hungry, after being trapped in the family home.

I reckon you're right. Yet another reason to treat her right. :)

I actually admire animals who do that. Once the dog owner, senior staff member for the cat, has died then their usefulness is over and unless an alternative food supply has been provided then eating what ever is available is acceptable.

I think you maybe should be making sure Petal has everything she needs/wants :)

Pats and cuddles on tap. Yes
Head butts and regular brushing. Yes
The best food. Yes
Warm bed next to me. Yes
Best suite at pet hotel when I travel. Yes

The only thing she wants and doesn't get is the opportunity to kill birds.

There :) Not "Their". :) And they're gone, fallen off the perch, so it's probably cheaper than the White Lady method. (Nothing against White Lady funerals.)

Creepy Cat is sunning itself on our driveway. I tried to walk slowly towards it but it took off, but its back on the driveway again.

Still havent fed it. I told hubby that maybe we should pick up a can of cat food but hes against it so will see if it keeps hanging around.

Since when have you listened to your hubby?

Well maybe don't get a can of cat food but a pouch instead...

Or some kibble...also technically not a can of cat food!

I thought the cat was on the back of the sofa, my first thought was how big is that thing!

Then I found the cat.
