Discussion on Cats, Moggies and Felines in general [with Pictures]

Dunno what this article says as my French is as good as my formal Latin, anyway I want one, or maybe two.

Just quietly minding my own business having a pre-sleep nap when I woke up to this.
She likes to sit or sleep on my chest/stomach. Maybe she thinks she is paying me back for chasing her out of the house with the leaf blower when she was hiding behind the lounge. Or maybe she had forgotten I had water sprayed her for bench surfing in the kitchen before dinner.20190613_234256.jpg

Haven't been on in forever - hey all!

We lost our beloved Cleo two years ago and still miss her terribly. We didn't last long as a feline free household though, and now have Smokey the blue Burmese, Pushkin the Siberian and, newest addition, Khan the sable Burmese - in the process of extending the current side of house enclosure to incorporate a stretch of the backyard to keep our very energetic bunch of big kitties happy! Pushkin is 5.6kg of muscle and floof at 18mo with another 30mo of "filling out" to do! 169988

They are soooooo beautiful.

We're moving next year (building a house) and I'm hoping once we're settled in that I can convince Mr D that I need a cat. He's resisting so far, but I'll wear him down eventually. I know he loved Earl as much as I did. But no point getting a new pet before we move.

They know it! I've had rescues all my life, and so it was such an odd feeling "ordering'" a specific breed kitten - so many times during the process I felt this overwhelming guilt... They are just gorgeous though, and very true to breed - I've always loved bossy, very people oriented cats, I guess the ones people call "dog like". I work from home, so cats that need more than the "normal" human interaction works for us... I have a cushion on either side of my desk, shelves above it and a cave underneath - never lack for company, that's for sure!

MrSuze and I are currently "this" close to adopting a cat to keep Barry company. We went out to the shelter last week, but they were closing, so we didn't stay. Maybe this weekend?

Barry may not approve.
Our cat Didi wasn't happy when she found she had a baby sister.

Tabbys are a great breed. We had 3 cats and this was Parker a couple of years ago but unfortunately he was run over last december 2018. Now we have 2. And a shot when he was about one and a half flying high.

Our tabby, Patrick, 11yo on watch from his shelf over the gas log fire: we call him our "nanny cat" as he takes it on himself to sit with anyone who's ill or otherwise unwell - he's been my constant companion over the past few weeks, complete with a VERY LOUD purrrrrrrrr.....

These are my two new rescue kitties who seem to have settled in well. Brother (Boots), and sister (Juno) who were left in a box on the side of a road at 5 weeks old.

I’m still getting used to the 4.30 am stares that I somehow wake up to for food and playtime. At least I get 4-5 hours of cuddles before the early morning start.

They do work as a pair taking turns for cuddles and pats as they want me to hold they on my chest for an hour at a time. Big purs from Boots in particular who likes to rub his body against my head.170186

Cute older cat on my local shelter page today and I tagged Hubby.

I notice they say, "Bring your own cage", ie I cant buy one there so thinking I should buy a cat cage and leave it around the house.

They certainly look like a bundle of mischief. They are very sweet.
