Damn neighbours just sent our cat onto the ceiling by setting off loud fireworks. Our back door was open and neighbours fence just metres away. Quieted for a couple of minutes. Then another round. Then another round. Very loud and lit up our backyard. At which time I was calling the police. They couldn't hear me they were so loud. And we have a video of me talking to Police with the fireworks going off. Police attended quickly and issued a fine. Stupid neighbours are denying it unaware of the video. Too dark to see if we have any ember damage. Cat now hiding under chair in front room and wont come out. Idiots. Its freakin summer time!

Fireworks are a suburban scourge that adversely affect many animals but in my case the cat loves them and goes to all the windows to see them . Not worried about the noise at all.

However, when the neighbours had a domestic recently she was very upset and needed reassuring.

My Cat has some bad anxiety, so fireworks or any domestics gets him scared. I have to be very calm with him.

Yes, I guess my point was they are no different to every other feral cat around though. I love my cats, just have them desexed and in their cat run.

Our little miss has had yet another miraculous recovery from what we thought would surely this time, be the end. She continues to astound us and the Vet!, She is way past 9 lives already.

Here's Rose. She's about 9 months, and had 5 babies with her. Struggling with feeding so the kittens are being helped by another mum at the rescue who had kittens on the same day. They are about 1-2 weeks premi, only weighing around 50gms.

Just an update on this girl. Sadly we lost all 5 babies - they were just too premi. Rose had an infected uterus as it had torn during childbirth due to the stress & not being ready.

he GOOD news is she is now mended and has been adopted into her furrever home.

Giving some kind of CPR walking across the chest? Know that one for sure. But not for food, because we have food out all the time and they self-regulate. Normally they just want attention I think.
