Since you need to get 135 SC, I would look at trans-Tasman J (business)...

I am short of 100SC to renew my WP next month so plan to do the SYD-AKL-SYD status run, arriving in AKL at 23.59 (QF149) and going back to SYD few hours later at 6.00 AM (QF140.)
- Do I need to clear immigration or will I be allowed to go though transit and wait for my 6.00 AM flight?
- If I need to clear immigration, would the immigration personnel have any issues with me entering NZ just for few hours?

The airport is open 24hrs. You should be able to transit without any trouble.

No problem going landside for a few hours.

hi all, total rookie here, is my membership year a calendar year? or is it when my annual SC's expire?
I have until 30 Jan 2020 to get to the next tier, which I will achieve later this week. Does that mean I have the extra benefits until 30 Jan or a year from when I achieve it?

You will hold the status until 30 Jan 2021. When reaching a higher tier, it's held for the remainder of your current membership year, and a full year after that.

Very general question, are the AA first class fares with unlimited transfers still around? I had a quick look and appears most of them now have a 2 transfer restriction in the fare rules.

I have a few US trips coming up and wouldn't mind flying around for fun a bit.

I was sent a 50% SC bonus offer via email a couple of days ago, trying to book BNE to BKK and some combination of SIN & KL in between.

Do the SC have to land in my account before the prescribed flying period or is it just that you have to make the flights in that time?

Who knows when the SC will post? However, usually quickly, but not always. The bonus SC will follow.

As long as your flights are booked to depart within the offer period, as per the T&C.

Just fly in the time period specified in the email

The deal is SCs are credited to the date of the flight even if they hit the account days or weeks or months later

Qantas just offered me 50% more status credits on any booking made in the next 7 days. Are there any good SC deals out of SYD? I was thinking of doing SYD/AKL/SYD which would equate to 240scs @ $5.41 per sc but not sure if that's the best deal?

Very nice! Will have to keep that one in the back of the mind.

I can get a work flight to MEL to position so happy enough to sacrifice those 160SCs on DSC in this instance.
