I also wonder if the classic Business Reward flights has been corrected back to 16 SC per flight for short haul domestic. As far as I know there has been cases last year where 18 SCs were awarded. Meaning if you take 4 flights in J (e.g. SYD-MEL-ADL-MEL-SYD), thats 72 SC in normal times, 144 SC during DSC. It its been corrected, then its 128 SC.
Perhaps the chart was wrong in the first place?

I flew several sectors in J a couple of weeks ago and received 18, but, of course, things can change quite quickly.

Question to Daver6...
could you do breakdown of SC on Per-Mel-Syd-Cns return on award bookings...I only get 32&16&24=72 x return x DSC
I'm sure I've made error as only just joined points club, but like to confirm before i make booking...
cheers

I'm considering doing a trans-tasman SC run MEL-BNE-AKL-BNE-MEL. I can do it all same day if I book the inbound and outbound legs separately. I'm working on the assumption that the flight into AKL from BNE will turn around for the return leg (which could be false!). I've never done a trans-tasman SC run and I appreciate that obviously nobody has really in the last 2 years, but for those who may have previously, I'm looking for some feedback as to whether a trans tasman SC run is simple/quick (do I need to clear immigration?) or should I give myself more time?

I thought that there was a condition in the T&Cs for DSC that you can’t book ex-Aus legs (ie they won‘t count towards DSC).

I pulled together this table manually. I make no guarantees as to its accuracy and could very well be riddled with errors

I had seen some inference of that but it wasn't clear to me and I also wondered if it was a bit like the gift voucher exclusion...

Just want to clarify this one. Great circle mapper comes in at 690miles meaning only Zone 1. Unless you have a different experience with SC posting?

I have a reward booking to TSV in May and hope that your 28 number is correct.

This is from the qantas calculator page. Does it help?

I created my table over a year ago. All my data came from QF. I think I figured out the zone based on normal awards and then applied to PC earning.

Unfortunately the award cost and award earn zones don't correlate. Zone 1 ends at 600mi for the purpose of pricing, but 750mi for the purpose of earning.

Flights originating outside Australia do not qualifying for this promotion, so you need to do a return or multi city booking. If you can do BNE-MEL as the separate PNR, that will be okay.

What is the best "Mileage" calculator - couldn't find one on Qantas website. Ideally I'd like one that is as close as possible to actual Qantas flights - I've looked at a couple and they seem to be a few Miles off....
