Would like to do a status run MEL-BNE-CNS-SYD-MEL or maybe DRW, but I think I'll wait and see what DSC comes up this year (I'm guessing the next one will probably be in Feb/Mar, last year it was in March). If it includes international I might book a trip to the UK and go there.

Hey All

Trying to get my remaining 60 status credits before the 28th February for fast track to gold. If I was to catch a Jetstar Max flight on the 27th, does Qantas post those credits on the 27th or in March and if I'm March, do I still qualify.

Cheers

It has previously been posted that for late February flights, the status credits aren’t posted until March. However, that member rang QF and they were credited to the date of the flight and all ended well. So you will probably need to make a phone call once you see the SCs arrive into your account.

It doesn't matter when they post, it matters when the flight was flown. Their system is generally clever enough to distinguish the difference between flown date and anniversary date.

jetstar is so hit and miss when they credit their points. If you are time critical i would be choosing the QF flight! They credit you pretty much by the time you land!

What will be the Covid requirements for doing the same day status run SYD-AKL-SYD and transiting @ AKL for return leg now that NZ is reopening.

Now with the double status credits offer back, considering domestic classic rewards flights with lots of stopovers like similar ones mentioned earlier... SYD-MEL-ADL-ASP. 41.5k QFF points one way. That might be a good shout.

Where did this come from? I haven’t received anything about double status offers.

Email went to my Gmail promotions tab instead of the usual DSC emails which come to my inbox.

This wouldn't earn SCs? Confused sorry

It does if you are a Points Club member.

But will Points Club status credits be doubled? I don’t think so, although I have no particular knowledge. Perhaps it’s never been tried? I would think double SCs only apply to paid fares.

Great question. In the T&Cs it says;

An Eligible Flight for the purpose of this promotion means a Qantas operated flight with a QF flight number on an Australian Domestic or International ticket where Qantas Points and Status Credits are normally earned.

My bolding so I think the answer will be no double scs as reward flights do not trigger points earn.

However how the QF computer does its calculations may not match these T&Cs. We can live in hope.

I read it the other way that in that a Points Club member normally earns SCs on qualifying qantas flights and therefore should get double.

Yep - previous DSC have applied to award SC for me previously.
