Just hoping I haven't missed the boat here...I was checking on the run Perth-Sydney-Cairns business class last weekend....it would give me the 160 points i need to hit gold by 31/10 (no other flights booked before then)...when I checked last weekend it was something like 28,000 points + $200 for the flights....if I call the ph number mentioned should I be able to still get the same deal? Probably be the only chance i get to hit gold unless i go back to FIFO work (just quit )...and we have 3 overseas trips planned in the next 12 months...

and...if i am able to book this (i have approx 45K points)...I receive status credits for the flight don't I?

Unless someone has booked the fare bucket you need on the date you wanted you should be fine. And yes, SCs included.

28,000 points + $200 for the flights....

Maybe I am seeing it wrong but isn't 28,000 points + $200 a great deal for 160 SC ?

Maybe it was 38K...all i remember was that i had enough points to do it...will give them a call tomorrow...and see if i can book. Finished work...so can go anytime

I did that exact same DS run recently but CNS/SYD/PER, and loved Fremantle, since jumped 1st time to WP as well .

I seem to be missing something … I have never received a DSC offer. I'm now SG aiming for WP by the end of the year. Is there any reason I've been missing out?

BA have heaps of really well priced J deals and it's easy to browse fare by destination and month on their website if you know where to look... LHR to Bordeaux return for GBP202 is an 80sc steal...All the BA status runs involve London airports though, and careful as connecting flights often have airport changes if you aren't watching closely. BA domestic doesn't have a J cabin, but you can earn J SC on them if part of a J booking (e.g. ROM-LHR-EDI)

Only a minority get the double status offer, most never get it, no one really knows how QFF choose who does. In my case I've had 2 in 4 years and took them up.

Yes, your account hasn't matched the criterium in the algorithm run by QF.
