Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

Thanks markis, any comments on the below ?

I have no idea re Europe, cannot seem to get past Asia! I do know ex DXB with CX is very good value.

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

BA have heaps of really well priced J deals and it's easy to browse fare by destination and month on their website if you know where to look... LHR to Bordeaux return for GBP202 is an 80sc steal...All the BA status runs involve London airports though, and careful as connecting flights often have airport changes if you aren't watching closely. BA domestic doesn't have a J cabin, but you can earn J SC on them if part of a J booking (e.g. ROM-LHR-EDI)

Thanks, 80SC for ~A$330 is solid.
Considering MEL-SYD is $399-$699 and netts only half.

Its OK, 80SC can be had for $200 when MH have LGK on sale in J return ex KUL, getting it to credit to your account is the hardest part being an infamous Z bucket.

Has Mileage Monkey been down the last few days ?
I cannot seem to be Oneworld explorer for multi-sector itineraries anymore ?

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

It has moved recently, try here:
MileageMonkey

Seemed to be no change for me.
Still the OneWorld explorer doesn't work. The point to point works fine though (on the above link and the previous link I was using)

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

There have been recent changes to MM.

See my posts here on the dedicated FT thread:

... I'll dig deeper ...
Righteo, I have found the problem.

The show stopper is the "addThis Toolbar" which has been located in the "Sharing" row where, aside from being able to capture a link URL, email (using addThis or Gmail) or print the results, you can broadcast your itinerary to Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon and many other internet places quite happy to track your activity.

At my worksite, most addThis functionality as well as facebook are completely blocked.

I also have addThis blocked on every computer I use. I also use adblock which till now had hidden the google ad server boxes - only noticed on the alternative network box.

This is what is causing my issues.

I took a copy of the source and edited it to disable the addthis call (and the 'ad choices' FWIW) within the Javascript 'setlinks' function.

Running the modified version locally worked fine.

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

Hi All,
Newbie Short story... am about 160SC short of Platinum (have til the end of August) and have got a double SC offer. What's the best SC run? Have about 190k points. I was reading somewhere about looking at Classic Awards to see if there was availability for U Class business class tickets to NZ as a JASA (Apparently I need to call the FFSC to book this)... any help is appreciated

Welcome, first question is where are you based!

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

...or OOL.
Thanks both... another newbie question... I am having to travel to AKL and WLG for work, and remember reading somewhere that if you call the FF Service Centre, they may be able to give you a U class ticket at near classic award prices (if available). Has anyone done this and what is the likely hood of it occurring? Also, I want to travel Syd-AKL then WLG-SYD and use points to pay for the U Class if available from Syd and $$'s to pay for the WLG - Syd - Thoughts?

In short ASAs are available this way but you need to read this thread:

You should be able to do what you want but noton one ticket.

Thanks all for your help.

Just got an U class JASA through the contact centre - Syd-AKL for 36000 +$260 which is GREAT! (could have spent 50k +$131) but work is picking up the economy cost :-)

Re: Best Status Run Options - A quick overview!

I just received a DSC offer and need 360 SC for gold... can anyone suggest any good runs from SYD yielding ~200 SC?

SYD-PER ret in J will net 320, then a quick ret Y trip anywhere close/cheap will pick up the last 40.
