If we are going to be setting up a set of flights. It would be worthwhile stopping at one of the major airports and trying to set up a Q&A with some staff from Virgin. If we are lucky, maybe we can get a tour of some of the facilities of the airport. IIRC Delta had a couple of days where they showed people around an airport, that sort of behind the scenes stuff. That would be good fun.

I'm sure I can arrange for a few Flight Attendants to make an appearance somewhere along the way.
Their rosters only come out a week before they are due to start. So we wouldn't know until the month of travel where everybody is.
If we had to pick dates, I'd say before school holidays started. Prices will go up, fares will increase and most staff will be a lot busier. How about around the end of November?

If we get some firm dates and ADL is OK by everybody as a destination, I will talk to the IC ADL about getting access to the club for AFF members who are staying there, of course we will no doubt all be booking for two adults

My preference would be later in december. In fact I only have 5 more commuting flights to book, so if I can vary my plans to fit with this it would be great.
Off the top of my head around 17 Nov, 1, 7/8, 19, 22 Dec would be great for me.
I'd rather the choice be on a weekend :shock: Not sure if there are any sales coming up, but IIRC sales fares have generally cut out aroound the 14th of Dec, so that would be the latest date, if possible sales fares were being looked at.

If we can make it before the Tutankhamun exhibition finishes on 4 Dec and include melbourne, I'd almost certainly be a starter for a BNE-MEL leg (or perhaps BNE-SYD-MEL, or perhaps OOL-MEL, or perhaps OOL-SYD-MEL or.......:shock and I was planning a stay @ HMSW as HOTP doesn't cater for families (is this AFF gathering family friendly??). Also, as HH gold, I'd have access to the Exec. lounge and be able to guest my +1 in as well!
