Don't transfer points (Velocity Email)

We've only got around 13,000 fb each, as we usually transfer them straight away to Velocity. We've decided to hold off all transfers until the Big May Announcement.

But interestingly, Mr Clipped got an email today that said he was a winner in their March promo - that he was the tenth transferee and would be the recipient of bonus Velocity points. Can't quite work out exactly which promotion Velocity is referring to, but I'll keep you all posted.

Likewise re prompt fb transfers and, yes, have also received that Velocity email (similarly unsure which promo). Am now keen to see exactly how many bonus points will mysteriously appear sometime during the next 10 days. Planning to post here again when outcome known ... will be interested to see if Mr Clipped's winnings will happen at around the same time!

Just looked at his activity for March. He transferred 3 times to Velocity. (2) x 2000 and (1) x 10,000

I'll give ya'll 3 guesses as to which transfer won.............

Received the email. I was thinking announcement of a new partner.

Does anyone keep a high Flybuys balance? I've got over 50,000 points as I'm undecided if Velocity is best option or take the $ discount from weekly shopping.
I usually just keep building mine up and wait for a transfer bonus.

I am hoping for a 35% or more bonus so then you can transfer to KrisFlyer without losing points in the process. Just gives more flexibility.

Well 1st May is tomorrow and I have not heard anything as yet....

As you know, I'm not a patient person!

Does this help? :)

Yes. Quite disappointing as I will only get a 20% bonus :( The threshholds for higher bonus points are really too high IMO!

Australia's highest-earning Velocity Frequent Flyer credit card: Offer expires: 21 Jan 2025
- Earn 60,000 bonus Velocity Points
- Get unlimited Virgin Australia Lounge access
- Enjoy a complimentary return Virgin Australia domestic flight each year

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

With the amount of points bonuses on most Hotel chains at the moment it's not a bad time to top up points if you really need some.

I had been waiting - if that is what it is, I reckon I'll do better with 120,000 Amex MR to 93,750 AAdvantage- if done by 31st May.

(40K MR-> 20K SPG -> 25K AA + 25% bonus (6,250) = 31,250)

Meh. The Promo from Christmas time was better for lesser amounts-
  • 1 to 50,000 Velocity Points = 15% Bonus
  • 50,001 to 100,000 Velocity Points = 20% Bonus
  • 100,001 to 250,000 Velocity Points = 25% Bonus
  • 250,000+ Velocity Points = 30% Bonus
ANZ with the booster being the only decent one.
