I really, really hope you're right. I have > 4mil FB points that I'm dying to convert.

Same here I have about 600k FB trapped in FB from My Coles MC. Last year, I got to transfer up to 100% in a 15% promo. Hoping I can this year again. Whilst 20% doesn’t sound as earth shattering it’s slightly more than I’d budgeted so I’m happy if I can get them out. Won’t need to redeem them immediately from Velocity so this is all about getting them out of FB for me. Hopefully, Velocity won’t have another devaluation soon.

As someone who's already maxed out the 138k xfer limit, I hope that if they do remove the cap, they do it even for people who've already hit it :')

Otherwise it's back to wishful thinking for EY xfers to open up again.

Full details are now up on the Velocity website: The up to 40% Bonus Points Transfer Bonanza

Here's what the T&Cs say about the Flybuys > Velocity annual transfer limit:

Members may transfer 138,000 flybuys points (equivalent to 60,030 Velocity Frequent Flyer Points) to Velocity Frequent Flyer Points per household, per calendar year (Cap). During the Promotion Period, the number of points transferred from flybuys to Velocity may exceed the Cap, provided that if the Cap is reached or exceeded during the Promotion Period, at the end of the Promotion Period, no further transfers from flybuys to Velocity may be made during the calendar year.

I will take the 20% bonus on offer and transfer my modest FB balance across to VFF once my latest 10k FB challenge is completed next week...

for the experts, is it worth transferring from Amex to flybuys, since its 40%

looking for long haul first class only :)

since there is no no limit, is this a good time to transfer all FB to velocity ? Had about 500k FB now

I have way over a million AmEx miles as I use it a lot for business, and there are not too many useful options to use them, and this looked kind of tempting but given Virgin long haul Biz availability being pretty hopeless, wonder if it is worth the effort? Never looked into what it costs for Etihad or Delta long haul in biz, but probably prefer to buy those if point redemption level is silly.

Have ~700,000 virgin miles as well, mostly due to ebay purchases, and I never spend those either for same reason.

A somewhat "underwhelming " announcement IMHO. It doesn’t make it very clear how the bonus is applied. Does the bonus on 250,000 for example mean 50,000 extra points? Or is it 15% on the first 100,000 and 20% on the next 150,000?

Also underwhelmed by this whole activity/promotion..... for such a different kind of marketing build up it should have been more attractive and allowed a great % of people to benefit.

My personal gripe is for some reason CBA is yet again not involved with this promotion, which has become a pattern for at least the last 6 months... probably longer. Clearly CBA isn't playing Virgins games behind the scenes!

Pretty sure they mean the bonus applies to the full amount (i.e. if you transferred from whomever and usually recieved 260k base Velocity points, you'd get 52k bonus, or if you'd normally get 300k, you'd get 75k bonus, etc).

Really frustrated with myself for continually taking up the 15% bonus offers throughout the year...should've held off!!!

Why not SQ KF (for both MR/VA) or CX (for MR)?

If you can't find uses for flying even those airlines, then...
