I'm surprised flights from last week have not yet posted. This is a bit unusual in my view

BUT I think they will post soon for the new ones for you folks hanging out for them :) They may just set up a different batch run to last year's (which are still ongoing for another month or so - prob till the end of April)

Patience, Grasshoppers :)

I was up in Singapore last week with work and the flights have posted but the double status bonus haven't as yet which is a bit unusual as all my other flights posted the extra status points on Tuesdays around lunchtime. This was from the original offer last year. Apologies if I have posted in the wrong thread. Just thought it might be useful to some that might also be experiencing delays. Ill check it again later in the week

As long as flights tomorrow post before my rollover on 30 April I will be fine but I would love to have newly minted WP status show on BP's for 5 April.

From recollection of previous years' DSC offers plus the way in which QF run their IT systems, the normal SC's from flights post anywhere from (almost) immediately to 3 days for Dom and 3-5 days for Intl (depends on when flown and when the system runs its SC updates). The data was sent from the Gate BP readers to QF's computer system.

The DSC system was an independent system that used to run weekly, on a Friday/Saturday IIRC. Whether or not they are using the same system with similar timeframes is anybody's guess until we start posting actual data.

I had it explained to me by the QF Regional GM for Qld a couple of years ago, so may be a little rusty on exact days/numbers.

And from my recollection of last year's start up, it took a little while to get going, and then worked that way. I think it was a week or two before the first run - which cleared most of the backlog, and then the DSC system ran periodically - I think it was more than once a week, but certainly not every day.

They will

but even if the DSC did not post until May for some reason it doesn't matter... the system would credit them to this membership year and update status appropriately.

I am confident you will have your Plat before April though.

As the others noted it took a bit of time to run the first sweep and then get it going last year, then seemed to do a batch run on a Tuesday morning.. who knows what they will do for this year. I suspect they have to manually set up a process to go through all the trips credited and apply as required to those registered for the offer... it's not something that would run all the time but in a batch.

It will happen folks :)

I suspect that the manual part is the setting up those registered, and the list of flights booked to get a complete set of all possible eligible flights. The process that runs then just checks flights that have been completed against the list of eligible PNRs (by looking at what has been credited), and generates the new credits.

The offers always have a a register and book period - then the fly period. After the end of the "book" period, every possible eligible PNR can be determined in a once off run. It is then just a matter of checking what is flown. I suspect the initial delay before the they start the first run is getting the list set up. There after, the batch process is simple, and every run uses that first list of things to look for. Anything that gets missed, is truly manually checked after people complain.

All the above based on no knowledge, but just guesswork on what may have been done (and a suspicion of a very kludged IT system).

Just a data point some sectors on Thursday and Friday of last week and the DSC haven't posted yet.

EK (QF code) flights Mel-akl-mel from the weekend posted on Monday, but as yet no DSC.

Just a suggestion folks.. maybe hold off on reports of NO DSC and let's wait for a report where DSC from this year's promo has posted.. then I think we can be sure everyone who has flown qualifying flights will have hopefully gotten them? :)

(not trying to be rude to anyone I think just to clear it up)

so let's wait for the first sighting of a DSC hey?! Hopefully soon for you guys :D

Didn't take it at as rude as all, and not concerned myself - just more about letting people know not to expect them straight away at the moment

If we look back the 2016 DSC terms, last years offer includes fights up to 16/4/17 and the terms of last years offer was DSC may take 6-8 weeks to post. This years offer surprised us as it was earlier than last year however when we look at the promotion end date 6th Mar 17 and up to 6 weeks to post DSC things start to fall into place.

An up to 6 week posting period in 2017 ties in nicely to the end of the 2016 DSC offer. So my hypothesis is that we may not see 2017 DSC post to QFF accounts until sometime around week commencing 16 Apr 17 including backdated DSC to the start of the 2017 flight period. Just a thought and maybe I am wrong.

Based on the above table, think you are spot on with your recollection.

My first 2017 DSC points posted today (10:30 AEDT) for my 05/03/17 flights. Looking forward to the rest of the year's DSC bookings!

Excellent. My flights were yesterday so maybe it's a Friday thing. WP next week. :D

Interested to see how anyone goes with using vouchers and DSC posting. Congrats on those who already have them posting. More SC to get you into the incredible Brisbane J Lounge.

I won't be using vouchers until after April 30 when new year kicks in. Already achieved this years goal. So will hopefully help to requal.
