So great news Equus. My question then. If I book an expensive fare will the whole fare give double credits if just a $50 voucher used. :o

I'm not sure I read this correct. Are you asking if you booked a $250 fare that normally earns 10 status credits with a $50 voucher, will you get 12 status credits (1/5th of the normal earn doubled plus the balance of normal earn) or 20 status credits?

With all the talk about qantas IT ability...

Which also leads to a commitment to fly QF to get one's money's worth. Though thinking rationally one should consider what's been spent a sunk cost.

There is no way QF's system is capable of spitting out fractions of SCs...

I haven't seen any DSC from my flights back in March - 3 x domestic Y that were for travel in Mar-Apr. Then I also booked a J SYD-LHR return for September. And the same for my wife. I don't actually need the Y DSC for my WP renewal in August. But it's the principle of the matter.

Do we have someone from QF on the site who I can bring this up with?

OPINION ONLY:

With all the stuff posted here recently I have the feeling that (as usual) the issues here are technical and not intentional and further that many here have been affected due to being "early adopters" of the offer.. ie see offer, pounce in excitement :D

What isn't obvious to me though is that are the affected:

- those that registered prior to ~11am AEDT of the first day of the offer (ie: midnight GMT)
- those that *booked* prior to ~11am AEDT of the first day of the offer
- those that registered anytime but did not receive a confirmed email stating they were
- those that registered anytime and DID receive a conformed email stating they were

or a combination/subset of these.

Or if the whole GMT idea thing is actually real or not (I think it probably is a valid premise).

I'd say for those who have been waiting for credit for more than a week or two a call to QFF should clear it up(hopefully)

Good luck with that!:)

My registration would not have been affected by the timing.
I did receive a confirmatory email.

For a recent trip, DSCs posted promptly for the first two relevant flights.

The third flight - all flights in the same booking, flight number 3 directly connecting with flight number 2 - was some three and a half weeks ago and has not posted.

A call to QF resulted in the standard "Wait six weeks" response.

Not relevant to my P1 requalification, which is well and truly ticked off, but irritating, all the same to have to remember to follow up again down the track.

I have both wife and my registration confirmation emails safely filed in the Inbox, so there's no argument. It's just annoying that I have to sit on a phone and follow it up.

My missing SCs have come through now, nearly 4 weeks to the day following the flight.

Well that puts my theory to bed!!! truly bizarre

it was pretty smooth last year. seems crazy for it to be so out of whack this year.

hope you get credited soon!

Thanks RichardMEL for that dissertation. Now I have to look back on when I registered and which flights I bought on the DSC. Once I'm certain as to my facts, I'll give them a call. I know some of my later bookings (just flown) were under the 1.5X DSC (different time periods for registration and flight dates).

By the way equus, I thought your comment above (that you subsequently deleted) was a perfect explanation. Why did you delete it? I can restore it if need be.

I jumped in early on 2 Mar and had booked about 10 flights between 8-9am, I thought this may be an issue as the booking system works in Zulu time. It was, I just waited 6 weeks after the first fight made a call and QF bulk applied the SC's owing.

I registered prior to midnight GMT (with all my excitement I didn't wait) and got a confirmation email but booked after midnight GMT. Hoping this isn't an issue. I haven't flown under this offer yet so I will have to wait and see.

For anyone wanting further confirmation, I had a trans-tasman flight booked during the double SC period, cancelled and converted to a voucher under the same PNR, then rebooked and flown late April. These flights just had their double SC credited. Good news, as I have a few more vouchers saved until anniversary.

How long did it take to post? I've waited for 1 week and no Scs :/

Got a 50% SC offer today.... don't need it as the 100% offer with planned and booked holidays will carry me over the 1,200 threshold.
