Dear <serfty.swmbo>,
Thank you for registering to earn double Status credits* on eligible Qantas International flights^.
Now all you need to do is book. But hurry - you only have until 21 December. ...
Just noticed that there is a flash promo for this on my status page and I was able to register for this. Sadly my next int'l flight in Mar is on BA (booked and paid already). I have a BKK trip on QF but we wont be paying for that until the new year
Seems a little silly to advertise it to everyone when only a few can actually register for it.
Aside from this thread, I doubt I would ever have found that page (well, maybe if I was motivated to I might, but I haven't actually seen a link to it from anywhere else) - so I don't think it is advertised to everyone.

I will let you know how the flights post!
Can you book it and hold the seat, then pay later and still be covered?
^ Recipients of this email will be eligible for double Status credits by booking and paying for any Qantas International flight with a Qantas flight number where Status credits are normally earned between 1 and 21 December 2010 for travel completed between 1 January and 31 March 2011. This offer is not transferrable. Qantas may extend the offer. Extra Status credits will be awarded within 6 weeks of travel.
Not sure I like your chances, samh004. According to my reminder email (emphasis added):

...and fly between two domestic ports. My experience from a QFF perspective is that they are treated as domestic flights. You can also request ODU's on such legs.
"ODU"?? Couldn't find this in the abbreviations page nor a meaningful interpretation on Google
ODU= On Departure Upgrade.
Will need to get a kindly moderator to add it to the abbreviations page.
Lol!I'm glad I joined this convo after the usual "I didn't get picked... this is not fair... wah wah wah wah wah" posts are over...
Surely a SYD-BNE flight from the international terminal would still be classed as a domestic flight. If you did not get the double credits I think you would have a good chance to claim, there is nothing to suggest domestic legs of international flights are not eligible.
I got the impression from the QF December newsletter that everyone was now eligible for the promotion.

Are only offered on Australian domestic Qantas flights (QF400 and above) as well as domestic legs of Qantas International flights (QF1-399).

It was in Mrs straitman's newsletter but not in mine. She was offered the promo and I was not.Wasn't in my newsletter.
Ah. So the newsletters contain targeted information as well.Wasn't in my newsletter.
I suspect it is still not classed as an international flight though. Not if it has international passengers who have passed through border control, its classed as a domestic leg of an international flight:

If that was the case it would be make for some interesting SC's on the NAN runs.
