I have yet to receive the offer via email so I am concerned I am not eligible. Can Red Roo please confirm this offer is for ALL members?

hmm I can actually see the link in frequent flyer member specials when I log in so I believe it is for everyone. My email obviously just lost

I'd say if you registered and received a confirmation e-mail, then you're eligible, unless your 1.5SC offer still applies, in which case "the offer first-registered for will be applied to each individual qualifying segment".

In my case my 1.5SC offer has expired, so I expect that any eligible bookings I make now will be under the DSC offer.

Cheers,
- Febs.

I would have expected that as one SC Offer expires, any new SC Offer takes it's place.

ie:

Oct 25th 2013:
I received a 1.5x SC offer by email from QFF.
Valid for travel between 25th Oct 2013 and 31st Jan 2014.
Bookings must be made by 3rd Nov.
I registered for this Oct 1.5x SC offer.
Confirmed by return email from QFF.
I booked a number of qualifying flights before 3rd Nov.
Completed these flights on weekends of 10-12th Nov and 16-19th Nov.

As far as I'm concerned that completes my involvement in the 1.5 SC offer (apart from waiting for the BONUS SC's to appear in my account)

Dec 1st 2013:
I received a 2.0x SC offer by email from QF.
Valid for travel between 1st Dec 13' and 31st Jan 14'
Bookings must be made in Dec 2013.
I have registered for this offer (confirmed by return email from QF).
I plan to make several bookings on this 2.0x offer and travel in Dec and Jan.
I expect to earn 2.0x SC for these new bookings (???)

Are we saying now that may not be the case ? That the previous (expired) 1.5x SC offer somehow still applies ?

I don't think any of us (except Red Roo) can say for sure, but your understanding is the same as mine.

I think where the confusion might lie is, say you booked a flight under the 1.5SC offer for Dec 20th, then registered for the DSC promo - you would still only get the 1.5SC offer for those flights.

As far as I'm concerned, the flights I book from 1/12, under the DSC offer, have nothing to do with my expired 1.5SC offer. :)

Red Roo?

Would the blanket SCs on Classic Awards offer combined with the DSCs offer be valid? They both fall in December...could be a cheaper way of doing things!? Anyone agree?
Frequent Flyer - Member Specials - Qantas Classic Awards - Status Credit Offer

Edit: I see this is only for Economy but might still be useful to some

Had the same thought. I guess it should, but Red Roo would have to confirm. I mean, the DSC offer applies to "eligible" flights, and for those particular months, domestic economy classic awards are "eligible" for SC earn.

Probably not the best option for those chasing status, but certainly a handy way to get some bonus SCs (if the two offers are eligible together).

Cheers,

The 1.5x offer will still apply to bookings made within the qualification requirements for that promo. With a book by date of 3 November I can't see any possibility of overlap between the promos.

The Status credit offer for Qantas Economy Classic Award bookings is separate to the Double Status credit offer for cash fares and Any Seat Awards that we announced on Friday. Classic Award bookings will not attract Double Status credits. To find out how to earn double Status credits visit www.qantas.com/double

Thanks for clarifying.

I placed another call to the premium line and they say they are looking into it and will call me back...very frustrating..I have also sent a pm to Red Roo for clarification.

I haven't looked at the 1.5xSC promo. But the other post said that bookings had to be made by 3 Nov to qualify. The current DSC requires bookings after 1 Dec. There is no overlap. If you booked by 3 Nov then you cannot possibly qualify for the double and if you booked after 1 Dec then you cannot possibly qualify for the 1.5x SC. ie if you qualify for double you will get double as you cannot also qualify for the 1.5x.

A domestic sale appears to have been released today for both economy and business which includes travel in January. Handy for those who want to do status runs and don't have enough points for JASAs.

how long does it take for the bonus points to show up ? I booked a flight SYD-MEL-SYD on 1/12, flew today. The transaction history only shows normal SC, not the bonus ones.

Usually a few days later.

On my offer last year mine were posted the next day in the main...one was 3 days later.

Not always! A recent SYD-BNE-TSV rtn failed to post the +50% for the outward journey but posted the rtn immediately. It took an email to CS to sort it out. But then I think I'm jinxed as I've not received the DSC offer (tho of course I've registered and will be booking :-) )
