If I recall correctly the last round of SC promo emails were sent out in batches - over a couple of days? There may be hope for you yet.

I dont expect to be targetted - currently on 1500 SCs - probably around 2300 by status year end (30 Sep).

What I really want is another of these later in the year wen I go to India on QF/9W

pretty stoked to get the offer as I have a few trips coming up but I've also just booked in 2 flights to Hong Kong as well which I'll miss but oh well better than nothing!

I thought they did. Because it is a fare where SC's are normally issued.

Mmmmm after all this time, I have been shown some love and received a double SC offer for the first time.

Perhaps they noticed that I have stopped flying (well with QF anyway)

Just spoke to Q Planinum services and then transfered to their FF person.

You have to have:
1. Registered
2. Booked
3. Paid

for the flight. This means my flight this week:
1. Registered - Today 11 May
2. Booked - Friday - 6 May
3. Paid - Not yet hit my Diners Card

= not eligible.

As I am flying back tomorrow, I will have to cancel my return leg (Syd/Mel) and rebook a new one to be eligible.

I think I will do that now.

I can't wait till I get the ok to fly to Singapore (J) Mel/Sin in the next week or two. Perfect timing for me.

Cool thanks, actually had to call QF just now to link two bookings together and double checked with the CSR and she said it was all good as well, time to book in some flights!

Got it for the first time...

Just requalified for Gold, and have 300 (with bonus) status credits planned before I requalify 30 june - wondering whether I should try and make WP with a JASA to HBA (total of 600 needed)...

Well no email for me, yet. Perhaps they see that I haven't booked July yet in hope of this offer. I'm not expecting to get it as I have already booked the flights needed to retain WP and I got the international double SC offer at the end of last year.

Also, I fortunately flew in yesterday (10 May) and will fly back to Melbourne tomorrow.

I only saw the 20 SC against my flight but then I read the smal print...added below:

Sorry to be a downer but your flight yesterday will not get double SC. You need to book and travel in the offer period.

I got this email today too.. however it covers the period where I already have a heap of international travel booked!!

Is there anything I can do to make the most of this and make my existing bookings qualify for this??

I remember from last years thread that pre booked flight didn’t count, even if they had not been ticketed yet e.g. via a TA. What you will need to do is get a new PRN - however you can do that either cancel and rebook or get some changes done so you have a new PRN during the qualifying period

Any chance someone who got it could post a link that’s generic to check… here’s hoping I’ll be targeted again, though my flights for that period are already booked anyway, so all I could hope for is to do a status run to take advantage of it.

Do code-share flights with a QF flight number eg SClass JQ to BKK & SIN and J on Air Pacific to NAN with a QF also qualify for the ffer or is it only those on QF metal. The email is unclear to me.

ie ^ Recipients of this email will be eligible for double Status credits by registering for this offer via the above registration link in the main text area of this email and then by booking and travelling on any Qantas International or Domestic flight with a Qantas flight number where Status credits are normally earned between 10 May and 31 July 2011.

That link looks targeted, if there was a generic version of it you could try, but all you’d be doing is beating the email to your inbox, as generally if you’re not targeted then you wont succeed in registering.

If I don’t eventually get an email, maybe this is a sign QF doesn’t want me to head for Platinum this year. Phew, that’s a load off my mind, can save my money now!
