No problems with a couple of small value GVs from the previous promo posting Y DSCs. Current (non-GV) bookings still a work in progress. But early days. And I don’t particularly care given my status so will let it play out.

Ok.......so Qantas are playing serious hard ball with this. Despite a further detailed submission they are refusing to budge. "The initial booking date for this reference was booked on the 4th of February 2018, however the booking was later rebooked on 5th of may with the usage of a flight voucher, which invalidates the eligibility for the promotion."' This is getting me really angry! No wonder I'm starting to like Virgin more and more!!!!

Well I hate to be "that guy" but what they are saying there is true to the T&C (as revised, which is the only reasonable argument around this imho).

As noted by nutwood though this year has been a bit fluid with interpretations but remember that the PNR/your account is likely noted with your request and responses. You may get lucky but you may also find QF being even more rigid on this, as technically that IS per the new T&C as frustrating as it is.

I suspect they have learned a lesson here and, should there be/when there is another promo they likely will have it nailed down that much more.

I have my own delayed bookings in a few weeks (new membership year) and well... I will be interested to see, but frankly not holding my breath over it.

Not sure if I posted this, but all my DSCs posted correctly, even the ones I changed outside the booking window. None were GV bookings though.

Not sure if you've already tried but did you try emailing them instead of calling? I used GV booked mid March and flew June. Got SCs for inbound but not outbound. Followed up on the outbound flights at the 6 week mark via email and got the standard response to wait 6 - 8 weeks. Have been over 8 weeks so I sent them a reply last night and attached my email confirmation of successful promo registration. They came back this morning and SCs credited.
My planned flights for the year would've allowed me to re-qualify for Silver and I wouldn't hit Gold anyway so not sure if they're more harsh on you because it means they would need to give you Gold if you got the SCs?

I'm still owed 40sc, but they also accidentally gave me my loyalty bonus of 50sc twice, and also gave me both flex Y and Y sc on a GK flight (40sc extra). I could complain but don't want them to correct these mistakes!

Normally credits used to show almost immediately didn’t they? I’m still waiting for yesterday’s flight to post points and credits.

All of my previous eligible Bookings have posted their DSCs within a week of flying (of late this seems to be a Wednesday cycle of application), my latest - flown Jul 27 and Jul 28 - have not. This booking was made the same day as I registered for the promotion, but after I'd received the registration email (I know because in the interim I received an email saying they were holding the flights I'd not booked).

Has anyone had issues getting DSCs for the day of registration?

By the time the 6 week "allowance to credit" has passed I'll be into new membership year ... no biggie, not needed for retention, but would like to close everything out by the end of August if possible.

Regards,

BD

I don’t think I’ll have any chance of getting double for a delayed booking completed last Monday. I haven’t even received the usual credits and points. Sigh.

Really wouldn't give up until about ten weeks and four phone calls!

You will. It will just take 8 weeks.

I'd wait six weeks then remind them the conditions said six. This worked for me.

I sent them email earlier this year regarding a number of of flights missing double SCs. They replied that I should call. I replied again that I don't want to call up for each booking and they should try to fix. Which they did.

I'll give email a go again next time.

Great to see my first GV booking in J SYD-HKG posted DSC almost instantaneously.

I kept my expectations low so was pleasantly surprised. I have several GVs to go so can use with some confidence, while trying to book 1 or 2 trips during the new promo this week.

Qantas is inconsistent. A few of us have had DSC on GV post for the outward leg but not for the return trip on same PNR. I’m not convinced.
