note to nlhalle's examples - only double SCs, not double points
no double (as expected) for PVG-SYD.

Pushed me over the 13k SC level (at least it will once my three missing CX/KA flights post) - on the homeward stretch.

The double points would have only posted if the flight was before the 23rd December (the 91st birthday bonus) and if you were WP..

I suggest you call QF, and check your comms preferences in the profile.

It was invite only.
Not sure the criteria but both myself and one of the other recipients had flown CX in the past year between Oz and HK and credited to QF.
 
I am WP and never got offered it.

I am flying to HKG next month so would have liked the double status credits.
 
I got it and have also flown CX J of recent. We are flying on QF to HKG in Y in a month but was booked before the promo. Were weighing up whether to use QF back but have trended towards booking another 6 odd flights on CX in J. Promos are nice but only can pull your opinion so far. Looks fantastic use of points though, I had considered it myself but never that seriously!

I'm WP.

Flew CX HKG-SYD in J class in Oct last year. Credited it to QF.

I got the offer too (but didn't use it).
 
I flew CX J BNE-HKG in January last year. Not sure if that is why I received the offer or not.
 
Me too, half a dozen flights with CX, mix of J & Y, credited to QF.
And one with RJ BKK-HKG.
 
I have not had any international QF activity for 2 years, and I got it!

QF must have thought you needed an o/s holiday :mrgreen:.

I flew CX HKG-PER last October and got it but a WP mate also got it without any prior HKG trip.

And I had about 7 or 8 trips to HKG last year and did not receive the offer :evil:
 
Did not receive this offer but would have loved it

Have some otherwise qualifying flights in February (but would not help as will requalify without double SC's and my membership years end February)

I did do one J flight last year to HKG on CX (would have thought that might have got me targetted but no) and will likely book more for later this year

It looks like you have got double SCs for the domestic legs here too - is that correct?
Also, by the looks you can use the offer more than once??

I have a trip booked to HKG in a month to use the double SCs, but I'm thinking I might do another hop over next weekend to do some shopping.. and qualify for WP..

Yes that is correct... on both counts.. so if you went PER-SYD-HKG you'd get double SC's on the PER-SYD leg.

Interesting - assume thats just for QF booked tix.
considering an ex-HKG DCIRC fare - might be worthwhile to do a tag at the end??

Interesting! I have done SYD - BNE - HKG and SYD - PER - HKG in recent weeks and not got the double SC's for domestic sectors.
 
Given that QF flies PER-HKG direct, the double SCs on the DOM sector of a PER-xSYD-HKG surprised me. The offer said "For flights between Australia and Hong Kong".

Was there a trick to the way it needed to be booked?

I didn't pursue it for my double SC run PER-HKG-PER in a couple of weeks as I have already requalified WP and I'm LTG. Just chasing a few extras to ensure reaching the 2400 SC Rewards Choice level.

Where does it end? - ie. could you go PER-xBNE-xMEL-xSYD-HKG (or even more sectors) and get double SCs on every sector?
