We are booked to fly to Perth from Melbourne on June 12th. With lockdown and WA border closure what do you think are the chances lockdown will be over abs borders will be open allowing us to fly?

My guess is the flight will likely still operate and you could still fly, however unless you're exempted you'll be turned around at Perth Airport. Even if you're let in you'll have to quarantine for 14 days, potentially at your own expense.

The odds of Victoria's situation resolving for WA being comfortable enough to lift restrictions in time for June 12 are not good.

I think greater than Zero, but it really depends on the Numbers of locally acquired cases in Vic.

If it continues at 5 per day then 20%.

If the numbers of community cases detected increases then closer the chances reduce.

If the number decrease from 5 then the chances increase.

Also, it is relative- yesterday there were over 50K tests performed to discover 5 positives.

WA aren’t going to allow with community transmission.

Zero chance of you travelling with so many active cases and daily infections within 14 days of travel.

One can always hope ... still not zero chance .... yet ...

Not until 28 days after zero cases in Vic....
Earlier this year they dropped the criteria from 28 days to 14 days.

I guess this means it'll be at least 2 weeks before WA opens to VIC again.

The Emperor is thinking zero chance without some form of isolation of 14 days. That could cost $3,520 if it is a hotel quarantine.
I came in from Adelaide last night. I had hands sanitized, temperature checked, G2G pass and ID checked and questioned about where i had been. Quite thorough and masked from airport to airport.

I had a similar experience when arriving in Adelaide from Canberra via Melbourne at 11 am on Wednesday. Extremely thorough, and a credit to SA (and I'm a Canberran).
