Re: E-rewards: got invited via Accor, participated, got to about 25,000 e-reward poin

Logged into my eRewards account and did enough surveys, opting out early on most of them, to get 5575 eR points in about 35mins.

Tomorrow my 30 day redemption date resets so I can claim another 2000 VA points

Hi Denali,

Holy heck, that is motoring.

I've noticed if you get screened out of a survey they keep giving you one until you complete meaning picking up a bunch of 25 (mainly) or 50 ERR points - is that your strategy - deliberately getting knocked out to work up close to 6000 points...which would mean being screened out of 200+ surveys. I've also observed I got screened out one day after about half a dozen in a row and they then said "nothing left". And when I have finally ended up with a survey I completed after a few rejections, that almost always say nada left.

So be very interested in hearing that strategy.

Cheers

Hi AisleSeat,

I thought you could only redeem 6000 ER point for 2000 VFF points per month which would equal 24000 VFF points per year if done every month?

Cheers
oh yeah, that's true. I should've worded it differently. I meant 'earned'. In the 2 weeks after redeeming 2000 VFF, I earned another 2000.

This survey made me laugh for ticking all the boxes:-

8. Have you ever done the following to try and get cheaper travel deals?

* Set an alarm for the upcoming sale
* Stay overnight or wake up early to standby for sale
* Check the flight/hotel price everyday
* Keep refreshing the browser/page until the sale start
* Book, cancel, and re-book because of a lower price
* Book multiple free cancellation hotels and pick one only before the free cancellation period end
* Clear cookies and refresh again to see if the price dropped
* Open multiple browsers and websites to compare for the cheapest price
* Check on desktop and mobile app of the airline/hotel to see if there’s a lower price in one of the platforms
* Take a flight from another origin or detour for a lower price
* Book a trip far ahead of the travel date - 8-12 months ahead

A survey about booking travel online. There have been quite a few about travel and tourism over the last couple of days (just finished another one before this post), but unfortunately couldn't finish that particular one as it kept resetting to the beginning.

Just redeemed another 2000 VFF points. On track for 2000/month now it seems.

I have been doing this 2000 VFF points from e-rewards since May 2016... 16 claims already.. and definitely a 17th one coming up!! :)

Anyone else get the video games survey repeatedly? (Like 1-3 times every week.)

And an interesting one tonight:-

We have a new survey available for you to take. If you qualify and complete the survey you will receive $10. We’d like to get your feedback on some particular advertising. While you watch the ads, we would like to capture your facial expressions via your webcam if you have one available. The video will be analysed by computer only and mixed with those from other people who take part in this study. Only your face will be recorded and the computer doesn’t care what you’re wearing or if you’ve brushed your hair! The webcam section of the survey is short and painless and only lasts a minute while you view an ad. After that it’s just a normal survey. This section is optional and you will have a chance to say no within the survey and just watch the ad without enabling your webcam. However, if you participate in this section you will receive $10 credited towards your Valued Opinions account. Videos are for market research purposes only and will not be used publicly in any way and will be destroyed upon completion of this project. This survey should take you no longer than 15 mins.

I don't get offered as many surveys as Denali (who must be a whiz) but any transfers I have initiated to Virgin FF Velocity have not taken more than a few days to appear, which is good (although perhaps it should be instantaneous.)

Even though one might not qualify for some of the surveys, the 25 points adds up quickly if there are two or three a day where one is rejected.

I think I've gotten it once, I seem to be receiving mostly finance ones recently - blergh.

Although I have had one or two kinda fun travel ones recently, which have broken up the boredom. I tend to log on first thing at work, and get screened out of a bunch whilst I drink my morning coffee - the 2000 points/month are coming in nicely

Hmmm, i seem to be missing out, haven't done any of these survey things for a few years, seems i had better sign back up... Is velocity the best one to choose???

Is anyone else having problems redeeming their E-rewards points for Velocity points?

I redeemed some points successfully at the beginning of September. When I tried to redeem again, I got a message saying that I needed to wait 30 days between redemptions. Once the 30 days was up (in early October), the redemption process seemed to have changed and required 'mobile verification' eg it required an SMS or voice call being put through to my mobile phone, presumably with some kind of confirmation code.

I entered my mobile number, clicked 'submit' and nothing happened. The webpage didn't change and no SMS/call was received. I've tried this a few times now in the past week or so with the same result. I've sent two queries to the website 'contact' page but there's been no response apart from an automated "Your message has been received".

However, the rest of the website seems to be working as before and I have been able to carry on completing (or being screened out of) surverys and earning points.

Same problem for me. Hit redeem and nothing happens.

Last redemption for me was start Sept, so over 30 days.

Same issue for me. I've written to them today. In my case it is for Hilton Honors points and it is over 90 days since my last redemption.

Yep, problem still exists this morning. I have just tried to redeem but nothing's happening when I click 'submit'.

I guess we continue waiting??

I got an identical response and it is also still not working for me. I'm near the end of my "investment" of time in e-rewards I think.

Hooray. Is working again for me. Text validation number comes through and entered successfully .

Now will wait to see if points transfer successfully to virgin

It worked for me too. However the points have not posted to Hilton as yet and in the past the posting has been instantaneous. I'll give it another 48 hours.
