I am under the impression it's ZPK that has the first fitout, and she is only on the way back today, having landed in Hawaii three hours ago.
it seem I read somewhere here that ZPA went to San Diego first in late sep/ early oct?

Markis is quite correct, ZPK is the first and is now online. When I figure out how to post the pic I was sent I will put it up.

Allegedly ZPK has been overseas since the 08th Oct and is on its way back to Aus now, ZPM left Australia for San Diego on the 22nd Oct.

Oh good lord KCMil - the suspense is killing me (probably us).... do you have a pic of the interior J cabin?
We'll be very happy to assist with the pic uploading ;)

image004.jpgCloser inspection (translating to actually looking at the image) suggests that this is more of a photo shopped image, sorry to tease you!!! But it does at least show the styling of the overhead lockers etc... which wasn't shown in the original artist conception pic's. Though the e-mail I have confirms that the seating is now reduced to 98 on an E190 down from the original 104. There are now only 25 rows instead of 26 and Row 11 is now the overwing exit row, retaining it's leg room. Again row 3 as per Boeing 737 fleet has the extra leg room as well. The single J seats have a mini locker above. And above the divider the overhead lockers are a transitional locker at an angle to the rest of the cabin lockers. Entry into service date for ZPK is 6 Nov.

Impressed KCMil, that's awesome news. Can't wait! Being CBR based, half my flights are on Ejets.

Even without proper J seats, the E-Jet is my preferance. But this will just be great. I love this aircraft!

Will be a bit interesting with the overhead bins though.... they weren't huge to begin with.

Looks great! Can't wait to try it out on my regular CNS-SYD. At what rate are they being refurbed? And are all getting refurbed in CA?

Two are done in the LOTFAP, that leaves 16 to be done by mid march locally in Aus or NZ, which means one a week give or take the odd holiday.

VH-ZPK is back in Brisbane and due to operate DJ795 BNE-CNS tonight.

Contrary to what has been posted, this will be the only aircraft to have the new J class installed in the USA.

The aircraft will operate CNS-SYD-AYQ-SYD-CNS Tue, Wed, Thu (SYD-CNS will be operated by 73H on thursday) The aircraft is listed as 'Not Avalible' when looking in the booking engine.

The Virgin Source is not true to their word about ZPM, noticed there was a bit of discussion about the boards regarding the mod versus not mod, just maintenance.

OT but just curious...... who flies the planes backward and forwards when they send these planes over for conversion. Is it Virgin staff or the mob that is doing the conversions. I always understood that the pilots had to have accreditation to fly overseas.... or does Virgin have on staff pilots that have this type of accreditation. (or am I totally off the mark) :?:

Hopefully not the same crew flying her to CNS tonight, pretty quick turnaround to get her back in service!
