E190 J class conversions start

Spot on RooFlyer, the VA E190's also have a coat cupboard which is quite capable of taking a couple of large bags plus jackets / coats. I am told that this is what a number of VA CS's have been doing for 1A and 2A guests. Aparrently lap tops and handbags etc.. are all you can get in the mini overheads.

So if you don't get assigned one of the new aircraft, is it true that VA only sell the 4 window seats in the cabin still? Or has this also changed?

It is true - they only sell a maximum of 4 in "business". As per the web site, you can discuss alternative seating with the CSM after boarding.

They are still only selling the 4 window PE seats on E190 J class flights that I know of, but I take your point - at some time VA are going to have put the new config into their booking systems. A big change is expected in the whole VA booking/IT systems around early Jan so things may change then. Until then its a complete lottery whether people get the old or new configuration on E190 flights.

ZPB and ZPH are in for refit this week! things seem to be moving quicker than originally indicated, though I guess there'll be a slow down over christmas / new year week. That will be 6 recon on line by next week. Still waiting to get one of the refits.

Yeah well if you look at flightaware, most of the reconfig birds are spending their time on regional routes (Newman, Port Headland, Mildura etc.) that don't have business class!

The e-jets are my fave, can't wait to see the reconfig.

Look little legroom difference betwixt row 1 and row 2 - row 2 may have a better window view if that's your thing.

5 Completed, 2 in progress. Allowing for little of no work at christmas then they should easily all be done by the March end deadline.

OT, but! I love the pics they use showing people in J class drinking champagne, when will they actually start offering champagne on all
mainline J flights? At present only on transcon A330 and long haul.

Would it be very rude and inappropriate to start a general 'ridiculous comments/questions/demands on airlines social media sites' thread with comments? (for all airlines)? No individuals names obviously.
