There was a terrific comment on these photos on their FB page 'when will VA start flying an A380 from Brisbane to Perth?' :rolleyes:

Would it be very rude and inappropriate to start a general 'ridiculous comments/questions/demands on airlines social media sites' thread with comments? (for all airlines)? No individuals names obviously.

That is a great idea. It's easy enough to blur names and faces out.

They need to be more like the fake jetstar page.
 
Be careful of row 3 overhead lockers! Because they change size right above, there is now minimal space to store items. Had to put my bag down in row 11.

Lockers above Row 1 and 2 on the left are only big enough for a small handbag or jacket. Probably only 10-15cm deep.
 
Is there any need to blur details out, so we can see who says these sorts of things? :D

Meh... they may not know the difference between a A380 v A330 any more than I know the difference between a GT or GXL or GTXL model car... or whatever they are! I find it better to give people the benefit of the doubt in these situations.

It's currently the most famous and talked about plane in the world I would argue. I dont know much about cars but it's like saying 'when are Ford going to make a new Commodore?'

Hi Serfty,

ZPH is in progress as you mention but ZPQ is just out for normal maintainence. I heard that ZPD will be next and back before Xmas.:)

ZPH is back according to VA source, even if they have their months confused!

17th November 2012 - VH-ZPH Returns from Christchurch Maintenance.

Embraer 190 VH-ZPH, which has been under maintenance at Christchurch since 12th November, positioned Christchurch - Melbourne late this evening as DJ9937. We understand, but await 100% confirmation, that the aircraft is now in 6J/92Y configuration.
 
ZPH has been reconfigured and ZPD returns to fleet tomorrow or sunday. Reportedly a small break now for christmas, but that makes 7 completed refurbs. 11 to go! Still waiting to get some sectors on one...
 
Haven't scored one yet. How did you find it Princess Fiona? Did it feel odd sitting there by yourself? Or did you feel like a real princess?

It was a good flight ( let down by poor catering).
The overhead bins above 1A and 2A are pretty unusable as too small for a standard carry-on. Comfy seat with plenty of leg-room, the J cabin is roped off in-flight the same as the 737-800. A big improvement on the old PE seating.
Was a bit odd though that our seating allocation appeared to have changed. We were pre-allocated 2A and 2D and I moved us to row 1 D &F a couple of days ago and yet at online check-in we were back in 2A and D again ( with 1D and F occupied) Curious :confused:
 
Very odd! i know that there are sometimes issues as ground crew doing seat assignments day before often don't register that it is a refit a/c. Not good to hear that catering was thumbs down though. The catering issue really needs some urgent work and the product will then be fairly good. I know that the CS's are all going through several days of J trg to rectify service standards and standardisation. Fingers crossed we'll soon see a more polished product.

VA is quite aware of the issues and trying to work with gate gourmet to get this fixed.... You could see a change if there is still continued problems ;)
 
How are the conversions going? What are the chances of one on DJ795 tomorrow night?
