BA......................MMB ??????????? NOT SURE WHAT THIS MEANS.....BRITISH Airways ???.... MMB is Moorrabbin ??? but obviously different meaning here.thanks
Manage My Booking. Perhaps they are suggesting that you can use a BA equivalent of Qantas' MMB to edit a QF Voucher PNR to add your QFF number so that it appears in Your Bookings section of QFF account.

Anyone have experience of how long they are taking to issue the new voucher when the first one is not fully used? I'm at 48 hours after using one for an airfare and having a couple of hundred dollars left over.

I ended up ringing today after waiting 2 days and they sent it through shortly after though it did come through as a booking GIF - VCH which has been mentioned on here previously.

Quick Q: Can these vouchers be used to pay for the $$ component of J(F)ASAs?

Apparently not:( Just found my answer!

Non-refundable and cannot be used for multi-city, Classic Award or Any Seat Award bookings or redeemed for cash or other goods or services such as additional baggage or seat selection.

In the few days leading up to the Public Holidays, they had started coming through a few hours after booking, but for the bookings I've made in the last two days on the public holidays, I've received the Tickets/Itinerary but not the vouchers. (I wonder how much they are having to re-issue the vouchers manually at the moment...?)

Annoying if you want to use it during the sale and don't want to buy another voucher. I'll give them a little longer then call.

I purchased a $200 voucher yesterday afternoon and it was sent to me within minutes and I was able to use it for a fare to BNE for the QF AGM on 23 Feb.

Very happy it was so quick.

Yes, though we are referring to the reissue of partially used vouchers.

That's correct. The idea to be to get the vouchers showing in My Bookings when logged into QFF account. However, I've had a bad experience doing that mid-2012, where it then wouldn't let me book a flight. But that's just my experience, YMMV.

i had that experience as well, got stuck at find flight...

Had to ring today to follow up about some getting some of the remaining value re-issued, and the operator indicated they would add my QFF number to the vouchers so that I could see them in "My Bookings". I indicated to them that I had previously had some trouble when that happened, so they went off and spoke with someone. It appears they even did a bit of a dummy booking with one of the vouchers and were able to get past the "Find Flights" stage, so they seemed to think it would be fine. I have now gone and used those vouchers and had no trouble booking the flights, even though my QFF number was already assigned to the PNR. Overall, that's good news. Perhaps they have made some improvements, seeing I previously have had trouble with this too.

On another note, I've bought a few vouchers now, and have had a few underway to buy flights for next year, and so have had to wait each time for the new voucher to be re-issued etc. etc. slowly reducing the value on each voucher one at a time. I just got a re-issued voucher, and they have combined the remaining value from 3 different vouchers I had underway to give me a total of $591. Overall, I guess it's fine, though it's a bit of a pain as I now have to wait each time for the voucher to be re-issued if I want to buy numerous flights in succession. I would've preferred the three individual vouchers each with their remaining value. Much more flexible.

The operator indicated that they are having to manually re-issue/create the gift vouchers with the remaining value, so I suspect they've combined them to save the some hassle for themselves. I guess I'll just have to start using some of the other 20 vouchers I have bought.

In some ways the opposite to what I experienced the other day.
Had a $1200 voucher with 3 people named and instead of reissuing a single voucher for the 3 of us issued separate vouchers for each.
Was told they could not be recombined :(
Yes it is more flexible BUT the kids and I will be flying together and it is easier for me to book in once transaction rather than 3 separate transactions.
What would happen if I could book as 3 people travelling at say $180 each and as I have to do each separately one of the cheaper fares sold before all 3 could be booked??

Might have to ring them again and make them combine the voucher.

how long does it take for the points to appear? spent 2.5k all up so not sure how long it takes to post. plus I earnt another 7.5k on my amex!

The info in the offer email I received stated "Qantas Frequent Flyer points may take up to 8 weeks to be credited to your account" so we could be waiting awhile :-|

Purchased some Q gift vouchers yesterday, arrived minutes after, booked flights using 1x2 today all confirmed, seem like its working fine:)

I've purchased my first flight using one of my $500 vouchers but am a bit confused with the way it has been processed on the e-ticket...any help??

Ticket value was $229, redeemed using $500 voucher. 'Receipt Details' indicate Total cost of -$271 and 'Additional Payment Details' indicates my Amex and card number for the amount of -$271.

After purchase I have received new voucher for the remaining $271 of credit on the original $500 voucher.

Is anything happening credit card wise here? i.e. QF refunding me $271 for unused credit and then charging me $271 for the creation of the new voucher, or is this simply how the QF accounting system works for credit voucher adjustments?

No you'll get the voucher and that's it. No CC refund.
