Now at last something possibly worth taking up. 20c converts to 10x litres, so 500 to 550 points (or double that if I can wangle MrsLW to fill up at the same time). Maybe I buy her the Myer giftcard for Xmas.

Having never bought giftcards from WOW before, I presume they are instore - or I can get them from Caltex?

Hmmm I'll buy 2 x gift cards for that promotion

$200 spend which will be used soon after

Can get back about 1600 points, worth about $70 to me

Lindsay, I believe the purchases have to be made at Woolworths supermarkets. There are exclusions in the terms and conditions which include Caltex which you asked about.

I'm guessing it's one 20 cent voucher per transaction so if you want $200 in gift cards I suggest using two transactions and hope that the checkout operator will go along with it. The terms do say something about no transaction splitting so it's best to figure out a strategy to get around this.

Do keep in mind Myer will shortly have a 10% bonus offer where they give you 10% of your gift card purchase as a bonus.

Is that only through Myer themselves or Woollies as well?

Also, can you use WISH cards on gift cards?

IIRC that is one of the prohibitions?

I don't need my wife to spend $500 at Myer :o, I think I'll limit her to $200 ;) [which i can easily get in 2 transactions of $100 git card each). Any reason I can't use the self check-out to do the purchases??

How is the value added to the card with the myer vouchers? I've never bought one at WW before? I'm guessing supervisor assistance is required if using the self checkout.

Aren't the cards pre-loaded with fixed amounts (as per value on the card). Swipe 3 cards - Gift Card (in my case MYER), EDR and CC. Shouldn't need a Supervisor.

Normally they aren't loaded/activated until the magnetic stripe of the gift card is swiped. That may require a supervisor.

No you have to pick how much you want on them

I have always gone to the counter to buy cards as they need to process a "refund" to load the card with $$

Thanks DeKa and lovestotravel. Forewarned is forearmed. Better than looking like a goose trying to self load it with people waiting :o

I bought a Woolworths gift card from my RAC of WA website today and they are now doing Wish Gift Cards. You can only do a per day maximum of $500 for $475 cost and purchase every day until you have enough.

and who said Adelaide was backwards lol ;)

I just wish the RAA shop fronts stocked the $500 version of the cards, $250 & $100 too low in my opinion...

What's the delivery cost on those cove...?

Well, yesterday I pulled the trigger on the $100 gift card Qwhile shopping for some BBQ requirements. Also saw there was a general 15c litre for $100 spend. Wasn't sure if they were coughulative but obviously happy when I saw a 24c voucher sitting in my EDR app this morning - as I get 12x min 50l = 600 bonus point haul

My "Entertainment" Book cards seem to get registered mail for free now... Anyone else have a similar experience?
