I plan to buy about $20k of Woolies Wish Gift cards at 5% off on Amex Ultimate in a couple of weeks. The delivery will be about $10 and will produce 19010 times 1.5 points/dollar which is 28515 QFF points.

A nice cool ~$1k saving you have there Cove, will the delivery be in a chubb armourguard van

Might use the QFF points towards a point end flight.
Chubb are visiting tomorrow but not to do with security. They won the right to bid by insuring an overseas asset to get the opportunity to bid on insuring Australian assets.

We don't shop at Myer, perhaps a short running deal "limits" the damage regarding lost revenue...? They can continue appear to do the yearly deal, but if things are tight then restrict the take-up by limiting the offer to only a few days, quite clever really...

Off to visit my friends at the RAA today to get some more wish cards

Myer is not a place that holds any interest for us. We have been spoilt by shopping in America and England this year.
Back to Woolies and a price from overseas.....peaches at 99 cents per pound which is about 2.10 a kilogram in our money.
RAA sounds like favourite place for you Shintaro10x. RAC in WA now have the Wish Card instead of the Essentials Card so they are getting better.

Just paid $1 a kilo for peaches at my local farmers market.

Wow Queensland prices are very different to Perth where they were 9 times your price. Too bad the weather is so steamy up there for a big part of the year. I don't do steam.

Thats the beauty of local, cheap in season produce:

Pak Choy, Shallots, Lettuce all $1 a bunch
Strawberries $2 for a kg punnet
Oranges $1 a kilo
Mushrooms $7 a kilo
Red Snapper fresh fillets $6.99

like anything in life there are savings to be had if you do the work, which in this case is a 6AM trip every Saturday, saving 4x what would be spent at a supermarket mid week if I did not go.

I know what you mean re being spoilt shopping OS, picked up a 10 PC Tefal Jamie Oliver set yesterday for $80 delivered, although the Myer deal brings the Bose QCs down to a good price. in the meantime I am enjoying my coffee this morning from the Nespresso ex Italy for $236, rather than the $700 you would pay locally.

Perth is not a bad place to live, and at least the international flight options are getting better with the 787 starting next month and a rumoured 380 service next year!

Glad that you are getting the full product now cove, that essentials card really should not be for sale to the general public I think, after all some of the best savings available are by using a discounted wish card at Daniel Murphy's

RAA gets a visit once or twice a month, main use still Fuel & DM purchases, some woolworths use but this has declined since the WOW bonus offers have dried up...

5% off fuel, still amazes me how easy it is...!

had so much fun today .. the boss and i got our $100 bonus each( $1000 myer gift cards each) and then recievced 20% off a TV for number 4 daughter and the same for food processer etc.. with myer 1 points for the gift cards and the TV etc .. no idea how many points but used the citiselect to buy the gift cards etc etc etc:p

Most stuff at Myer is overpriced and is cheaper on the net, even when postage is included.

...
The RRP for that model has come down to $599. Last week HN had it on sale for $474 - maybe they are importing from .it? :p

Question for your gurus out there and apologies if this has already been answered.

I have a Woolies credit card as well as having my EDR set up to receive QFF.

I noticed often that Woolies will have a promo in store eg. (During weekend spend $100 receive 20c fuel discount.

Now my question, sounds logical but unsure since i get conflicting information from the store managers and most recently EDR customer service but am I better off NOT scanning my EDR to at least receive the fuel discount as a paper voucher? It's obviously double dipping but I keep scanning my EDR, receipts says its loaded onto my EDR but I haven't been able to use the fuel discounts which is also loaded on the app.

Seems silly to scan your EDR during these weekend promotions in woolies with a higher spend to receive fuel discounts if your account is set up to only receive QFF, right? Lol.

I was also told by a store manager that these weekend fuel offers should work in conjunction with whatever has been set up be it QFF/ or fuel vouchers which defiantly did not work when I tried to fill up!

Actually for about 6 months I was receiving both QFF/ and loaded fuel discounts but obviously things have changed since then and since the QFF offers have dried up it doesn't seem like a very good incentive to take advantage of the fuel discounts or even scan my EDR when special weekend promos are available in store.
