late arrivals, me - Fresh Meat, $10 for 100, SWMBO "beauty prods" -as for penegal ...

Perhaps a trivial question, but what is the cheapest item you can practically buy at Woolworths? One grape or something? And what is the cheapest item at the average Big W.

Just for the record, six grapes currently retail at Woolworths for 17 cents. And the cheapest thing I could find at Big W was sherbet or fairy floss for 48 cents.

However immediately after my Big W purchase, someone reminded me that 6X4 digital photos are only 12 cents.

Full house this week

Me - Deli Offer (3 items 50 bonus points, 4 items 100 bonus points, 5 items 200 bonus points)
Dad - Woolworths Offer ($50-$69 spend 100 bonus points, $70-$99 spend 150 bonus points, $100+ spend 250 bonus points)
Mum - Health and Beauty Offer ($10-$14 spend 50 bonus points, $15-$19 spend 100 bonus points, $20+ spend 200 bonus points)
Brother - Woolworths Offer ($100-$124 spend 100 bonus points, $125-$149 spend 150 bonus points, $150+ spend 300 bonus points)

Should be able to easily get the deli offer, my brothers offer and with a little effort my dads offer as well which should net 750 bonus points.

So, 5 individually wrapped slices of ham coming up!?!

Mrs gizzard received this one today..."Save $5....When you spend $50 or more in one transaction" (once only)

EDR are fighting back. I saw a tv ad tonight stating that Everyday Rewards discounts are "easier than counting to five"!

Took up the 4 items or more at the deli for 200 pts. Ham, bacon, semi-dried tomatoes & a 49c hash brown. All up $7 (pretty sure the hash brown is headed for the bin though).

LOL! But not quite that obsessive.

We generally buy 4-5 items from deli anyway and I am not going to sit there worrying about losing points on the $10-$15 spend at the deli going on a different card.

Maybe those of us that missed out on Monday, will instead get a mid week email? Here's hoping...

LW, its sink or swim for both of us I believe... Its tough getting no offers, but then again if you are like me, it is also tough working out who needs to spend what / where to get the EDR bonii booty...!

Fingers crossed u get what u hoping for...

Edit: Looking forward to catching up with you in the next few months to discuss EDR schemes & tactics... ;)

I'd rather be in your position than mine ;)

Seems my star is waning as no mid-week offers :(, although I haven't checked the catalogue that I received overnight.

Yes, ADL trip still on the cards - will let you know.

In the mail today, I think I have found the reason that we didn't get any offers last or this week. A postcard from EDR saying that "we recently tried sending something to your email address but it bounced right back" - for both me and Mrs LW.

Considering the fact that they have been sending emails to the same email address for the past 2 years, I fail to see how it bounced. They successfully send promo emails on 2 May and I had an email from them on 11th May (sending my temporary card - I seem to have misplaced mine :() - also WOW online seem to have no trouble with it as I got an email this morning...

But off to check the Spam folder (checked - nothing in there, not on my spam list) and ring our company IT guy.

Everyday rewards points are harder to get than to count to 5 when they dont honour their own promo!

I love being treated as an imbecile and told on every call that our promos can normally only be used once, that they dont know what promo I am talking about, that emails are only sent on Sundays etc etc.

I find the call centre to be a little "useless".

I have only recently set up my tracking spreadsheet, but my gut feel is that there were a couple of promos which I was eligible for that I never got the points for.

That’s true, I’ve given up on being credited for that promotion before even trying as I don’t want the hassle.

In the future, I’m going to be even worse to the environment and print every receipt, even for ¢ent purchases, and only because Woolworths has forced me to do that, when they’ve offered me something and not delivered. But other than that I’m not going to be bitter about it, I didn’t buy anything I didn’t want, and I’ve used or am in the process of using it all, and buying it again.

I just don’t believe the onus is on me to prove I bought particular items, when they have an electronic system and at one stage were telling people to scan every time, even below qualifying spends, for bonus point draws. So they must be able to record what has been bought, not only for that, but because they tailor offers to what you buy frequently.

If I had more time on my hands and wanted to fight it I’d consider taking it as high as I can get it, but that would just make me spite them more and my shopping wouldn’t be enjoyable (not that it’s that amazing, but better than being at Coles). It’d be lovely if a company representative looked over here and acknowledged some fault/tried to help, but I’m not holding my breath.

If anyone has an email address slightly above a customer service agent that wont care one iota, I’ll send off a politely worded email with my gripe for being ripped off by a system I like a lot, and tell everyone to join. Even got my elderly neighbour shopping at BWS occasionally for scotch (and she just redeemed an award flight with my help, BNE-CBR-BNE in September)!

Well, I got through to the main EDR number to be told that they have no idea why the emails didn't get through and no, I can't get the emails again. He also had no idea what the emails were (or wasn't going to tell me), so I can only presume thta they were Monday offers (probably last weeks' for Mrs LW and me). Oh well, they missed out on my spend and I missed out on the bonus points - so we're both losing out. No chance of placing in the AFF "EDR hall of fame" now for our second quarter 2012...

Then I get put through to the EDR Service Centre. I got a guy who initially probably thought I knew nothing about bonus offers and then had to apologise when he saw my account transactions and I told him what I knew - I had to put him in his place a couple of times (particularly the "multiple" offers that he said were only one time offers - oops, sorry sir, you're correct :o ) - then he became obsequious. He commented on how many bonus offers I'd got (and converted) and the points I'd accrued - seemed to be a little more than most ;).

So now I have case numbers for all of the "missing" points and will email through copies of the receipts - happy to wait the 7-10 days for the points to show in my account (investigation, plus message transfer to IT area to process, then the 72 hours to wait for it to show up).

Maybe I should record the next call so that we can all just listen rather than waste oxygen going through to the inevitable escalation/support department.
