EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Three for me:

$5 in the bakery for 50 points - one off
2 bottles spirits/150; 3 bottles/200; 4 bottles/300 points - one off and unlikely to redeem
$20 books/300 points - can be used multiple times, so that's Xmas shopping in hand

Have others noticed if not activating an offer affects future offers? I received one for nappies ages ago which I didn't activate and have never seen one again. Perhaps the tail could start wagging the dog if limit what we activate to influence the EDR in the sky.

Sent from my iThing.
Why, because iCan.

Tiered Select bonuses this week.
-2 - 50 points
-3 - 100 points
-4+ - 200 points
Single use only till 10 June

I wondered about that too. I got a cough one last week, and didn't activate it and this week got the 400 points for $30 spend.

First time I've had my eyes light up from an email offer for a long time...

50 bonus points
When you buy any Woolworths Select product this week

That's twice as good as the old general offer. I think I'll be donating some pet food this week :)

The fine print:

Offer applies to Everyday Rewards cardholder xx_x and can be redeemed multiple times during the offer period
Offer valid from 4 June to 10 June 2012 at Woolworths supermarkets
You must activate the offer before you shop and present your Everyday Rewards card at the time of purchase to qualify for your reward

So obviously it can be used multiple times, but in everyone's experience does this mean I do or do not have to scan items separately? Hopefully some good sales kick in on Wednesday too.

Thanks ellen10, I know you and hummel would understand my pain

Well I rang up EDR CS to vent about the continuing non receipt of my missing points after emails giving all receipts sent 16/5 and 21/5 - I thought that they would be there by Friday when they seem to process all the points. She said that the cases were queued in the IT area for investigaion - how difficult can it be to look at the subscribed promos, look at my emails with the scanned receipts and okay it - are they getting that many or are the IT area under-resourced (or both) :o??

Then she she asks if there is anything else she can do (I'll bet she rued asking that question ;)). She asked though, so it seemed rude not to tell her of my complete exasperation at their "system" with the whole family missing out on bonus offers for the last 3 weeks - she patted out the usual line that there is nothing she can do...well, I knew that ;)

Well, Coles is closer to work and time I resurrected my FlyBuys - unrequited love can only go on for so long before it dawns that when loyalty is not being repaid, time to find out what the competition is like. She did "refresh" my account FWIW and I made 2 small purchases over the weekend over $30 - one on my card and another on my daughters - to see if they trigger some love. My wife made the monthly big online purchase last night on my card (over $300 for the free delivery), so let's see what transpires.

I'm feeling your pain Lindsay:(

It is frustrating and disappointing on Monday mornings when others get lots of offers and you get none, even though you are still loyal to the product.

Maybe a midweek offer? Although I haven't seen many of them lately.

Joshua, there are no issues about having multiple Select items in one transaction - I had 10, 36, 2 and 22 in my last Select bonanza (and I know markis10 and others had quite a deal more :D); however I also know that some of them weren't showing up automatically in their system as Select products (??), so keep copies of the receipts so you can email in if necessary.

Hopefully they have fixed that part of the system by now. At least they were quickly able to view the transaction in their system and add the points manually immediately (for me)

Advice please!

Awesome, glad I don't have to look silly at self serve checkout but will definitely keep the receipts - hope I don't go through any of your struggles. Was reading the other thread, glad I'm not BNE based currently because it sounds like they'd still be recovering stock levels. I might call the RSPCA first because I don't even have a cat or dog!

LW - create a new GMAIL account and change it in the EDR system, see if that triggers some goodness.

markis10, I changed from my personal email address to my work address, so let's see what happens. Don't want to create 4 gmail accounts and have yet more to have to check.

At WW liquor, 2 bottles spirits/150; 3 bottles/200; 4 bottles/300 points.
At Big W x2 $30 or more this week
Spend / bonus points
$30 - $49 200 points
$50 - $99 250 points
$100 or more 400 points
Plus a number of 2x offers at WW.

Don't worry Lindsay, with the right triggering spends in a week or two you should get be back in the game.
@ JohnK, one can never hoard enough when it comes to bonus point offers. Its all about buying things that are on special and that you use regularly!
You never know when your offers could stop, just ask Lindsay...

How do us mere mortals trigger one of those super-lucrative Select offers?

Activate or use?

As a have a number of family accounts that I utilise, I do see a pattern when you do use a offer. For example use a offer and you will probably receive another similar offer in a fortnight. I triggered liquor offers from WW liquor on 1 account when I bought 2 bottles of spirits and have been receiving regular liquors ever since but have not used because spend was too high for the bonus points offered. Each time the spend required has gone done but is still too high. I also triggered another offer when I bought Select tuna during the 2 for 50 point select week, as last week I got a offer for a any tuna spend. Which I suspect WW wanted me to buy more select tuna, which I happily did because the Tuna passed the taste test and was the cheapest.
I suspect, different divisions in WW group are given bonus offers depending on each unit's needs. For example, WW has had a lot of Macro/Select general/targeted offers as of late, as WW has been trying to increase sales of their private labels.

Two offers for me this week.

Double points for purchases over $30 at Woolworths.

Tiered offer from Big W, much better than the ones from previous weeks. May wait until after Wednesday to use it just in case I get a midweek offer that I can use in conjunction with the tiered offer.
Spend $30 for 200 points, $50 for $250 points, $100 for 400 points.

Lindsay, I hope your offers start coming soon. I know that when you change your email address with EDR, the new address shows immediately in the account, but I have heard it sometimes takes 5 working days before you start getting new emails from EDR to that address.

Only two this week, and neither are particularly useful to me:

  1. Save $10
    When you spend $100 or
    more in one transaction
  2. Boost your points
    When you spend $30
    or more this week
    $30 - $49 200 points
    $50 - $99 250 points
    $100 or more 400 points

Don’t think I’ll get to a $100 spend, and not sure I want to try, just to get $10 off! Maybe if I buy the recharge voucher for my phone now and save it till the end of the month!

As for Big W, which was the second offer, it’s just not enticing enough. That said, they had a teaser for a big toy sale coming up soon, so I’d be quite happy to buy some more Nerf guns in that and get points on them!

Sam, I think you need to check your oral health with the half price Oral B tooth brush I mentioned that has $30 cash back!

Exactly my thoughts from looking at my spreadsheet for BWS (and my card). 15/1 (any case beer for 300), 12/2 (any case for 300), 5/3 (any two cases for 300), 2/4 (any two cases for 300). Then they switched to spirits - 9/4 was 200 for 700ml+, then they forgot about me :o

Anybody see a pattern forming (in the offers, not my alcohol drinking!)

I agree. it certainly increased the sales volume and bonus for the Qld Manager of Macro & Select products.

rainbowgirl, I am hoping that the "refresh" on my account may give me a "we've missed you" offer - on all accounts would be nice :D
