EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Activate or use?

As a have a number of family accounts that I utilise, I do see a pattern when you do use a offer. For example use a offer and you will probably receive another similar offer in a fortnight. I triggered liquor offers from WW liquor on 1 account when I bought 2 bottles of spirits and have been receiving regular liquors ever since but have not used because spend was too high for the bonus points offered. Each time the spend required has gone done but is still too high. I also triggered another offer when I bought Select tuna during the 2 for 50 point select week, as last week I got a offer for a any tuna spend. Which I suspect WW wanted me to buy more select tuna, which I happily did because the Tuna passed the taste test and was the cheapest.
I suspect, different divisions in WW group are given bonus offers depending on each unit's needs. For example, WW has had a lot of Macro/Select general/targeted offers as of late, as WW has been trying to increase sales of their private labels.

I mean activate. As I said I didn't activate a nappy offer and haven't received one since so assume (I know, dangerous) that they may think I don't have any nappy aged children. If I activate an offer and don't use it EDR will not know if it is a product/spend limit I don't want.

Last week I got 1 bottle of spirits for 250 points which I used. This week's offer starts at 150 points for 2 bottles. If I don't even bother activating the offer, let alone use it, will the next offer go back to 250 for one? Should we start weighing up the offers before just clicking the activate button, and will this affect the offers we get?

I will be more judicious with offer activation and report back... Oh oh, was that a dark sedan that just pulled up outside my house with the heavies in it? ;)

Lindsay: I think everyone goes quiet every now and then, so hang in there. This quarter is nearly over so your EDR challenge can start over!

Now I knew something would happen as I am in tassie this week-10% off if I spend $50 or more but no gift cards etc.Can only be redeemed once.

Lots of offers for the Shintaro clan this week..... still in SIN this week so not going to be used unfortunately...

LW, since I having a week without any EDR action you have a chance of catching up...!

I got a birthday offer - 100 points on any spend in any woolies brand shop
Also got the tiered Select bonuses this week. I will be doing the 4 products for 200 points - single use only before 10 June.
There was a BWS offer for 2 x 750ml wine for 250 points - which I am not going to activate

Turns out my mum got the 100 points per select item offer. I'll have to make sure she does some shopping...

Me - 400 bonus points on $30+ spend at any partner store (Woolworths, Big W, BWS, D!ck Smith)
Dad - 100 bonus points on $50+ spend across Fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, deli, seafood and bakery
Brother - Double points on $30+ spend

I thought the 400 bonus points was for Dad and I just spent $35 at Woolworths only to look at the email again. Don't have my card with me anyway. And the fresh food offer is too difficult considering the other 2 offers received....

Not a problem, copy and paste your number from the T&C's of your email offer into 'Contents' here:

Free Online Barcode Generator

Select EAN-13 as the 'Symbology' and click "Make Barcode".

Right click the barcode generated, click "View Image" then print the barcode out and, voila! - you have a temporary 'card'.

Only two this week, and neither are particularly useful to me:

  1. Save $10
    When you spend $100 or
    more in one transaction
  2. Boost your points
    When you spend $30
    or more this week
    $30 - $49 200 points
    $50 - $99 250 points
    $100 or more 400 points
No need to spend $100. Why wouldn't it be worth the effort to go and spend $31 at Woolworths for 200 bonus points?

Have to agree JessicaTam, just wasn't expecting 3 weeks with none of us getting an offer. This quarter was over on 31 May, so the quarterly results email should be out to us soon. Hoping (but don't believe) that our missing EDR points will post in time (5,708 for me; 500 for wife)

No chance of catching you at the moment - can't Mrs Shintaro10x earn them for you?

After a slow start to the week I have managed to garner 3 offers, none of them are very exciting, but....
Woolies Liquor - points for 2 or more bottles of spirits. I don't think I will activate this one.
Selectt products - tiered offer with maximum points being 200 for 4 or more products. Will use this.
Bag W - tiered offer, but will only spend over $30, don't want to encourage them too much!

I also signed a family member up last week and he received his first offer which was 100 points for any spend over $30 in Woolies. This isn't very enticing, so won't be activated.

Bad move, that's the first teaser to see if offers work with the recipient.

I take it , not everyone gets a targeted offer ? I have seen only the discount offers, ot hing about bonus spend for $30.00 - $49.00?

They have a range of offers for which they randomly select members to email. Most weeks we see the different variants here - this week is no exception.

@ JohnK, one can never hoard enough when it comes to bonus point offers. Its all about buying things that are on special and that you use regularly!
You never know when your offers could stop, just ask Lindsay...
Not the end of the world. I went through about 12 months with very few offers and the past 6 months have been good.

Just need to keep a reality check and not to get too obsessed about it all. Some of these offers will be used and some will be let go....

I get offers every week.

Every week I get double points at WOW - 10+ weeks running now
Every second week I get spend $50/$100 and get 250/400 bonus points.

Every time I take full advantage of the offers and I *NEVER* scan my normal groceries. This opt's me out of food related purchases and ensures I only receive the best value offers (personal opinion).

I get offers every time I'm out of town for a couple of weeks (and hence haven't been to Woollies). I guess they are looking for people who might have started switching to Coles or another competitor, to pull them back before they lose loyalty.

Two offers for me this week.

1. Bonus pts for select products at Woolies. I'll be getting 200 points for the 4 products I bought last night.
2. Big W - spend $30-$49 get 200 bonus pts, 250 pts for $50-$99 spend, spend $100+ get 400 bonus pts.

It's my first Big W offer in months. I've got a few things to get, so I'm hoping I'll get close to the $100 mark.
