EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

No offers received so far, but if those posted already are an indication of what is coming I will also be spending at Coles. Coles got my money this morning - whilst I'm not fond of tear off coupons, they represent better value for me currently than anything Woolies is offering. :(

Got this one.

Looks like EDR / WOW stuck firm with the fuel discount bonuses, but the question needs to be asked, how many fuel vouchers does one really need...?

I've got fuel vouchers coming out the wazoo. In fact, my app lists expired vouchers that I never had in the first place. Says a 15c expired last week, but I bought petrol last week and the highest I had was a 10c....

No offers for me yet....but I fear if I get one it will be fuel related. My Flybuys card arrived this week so time to give it a bash.

I have zero fuel vouchers from WW. For some reason, I think I will not have any WW fuel offers for a while but will have plenty of Coles fuel vouchers!

Zero offers for us this week. Time to apply for a Coles Fly Buys card.

No loyalty breeds loss of goodwill.

Zero offers here for us too... Looks like there is no need to pop into the RAA to stock up on some more wish cards, will use Mrs Shintaro's staff card at Coles for same effect.

We have the Flybuys card, but to be honest its too much work to figure out flight redemptions with that program, what's holding them back big time is they need to do the deal with Virgin. Once they have done this then we will have two competing FF loyalty programs, but for now I don't have the time to research the FlyBuys program...

Hi Shintaro
Slightly OT I know but it IS part of comparing WW with FB so could belong in this thread :)

The flybuys flight redemption is done by Webjet. You get to the site via the Flybuys site. Then you type in where you want to go and prices for ALL airlines are shown. Click a button and dollars convert to flybuys points.

I am not yet an expert but the conversion always seems to be one FB point is 0.5c. So the only time you can get a "bargain" is there is an air fare sale.
I have my reservations about the system but I am trying to understand it. I nearly have enough FB points to have a short one way flight redemption. When and if I do it I'll post here...although I am sure that other people may have done similar already.

I need to read the T and C but and wonder if these flights get FF points and status credits (again apologies if that has been done to death here elsewhere)

The very small worth of FB points means that if you want flight rewards with any frequency you need to go for the special deals

See my thread "26c off per litre of petrol" for the only way I have discovered to make a FB point worth 1c. Even then you have to do a petrol buy of 100 litres to achieve that

Regards

No offers here either.

very much over the everyday rewards program at the moment! I once enjoyed chasing the bonuses and buying cough I didn't need... surely this was good for Woolworths?

on the other hand my two recent 10% off offers for $50+ spends were not bad

Yes me to,I am over this rewards program. Only good now for the 15 cpl vouchers that convert into points and paying with the 5% discounted wish card .

No EDR offers came in for our household this week. My neighbour and I managed to spend just over $100 last week combined so we are on track so far for the $20 voucher. I saved a couple of dollars last week on my neighbours frozen select offer. I spend $10 today at WW to start off this weeks transactions and will spend just enough late in the week to take us just over the $100 mark again. I'm looking forward to saving $10 at week at Coles for the next 7 weeks with my flybuys coupons.

Sadly nothing for me this week.
I have remained faithful so far to EDR as I do not have a flybuys card (destroyed it when it originally came). Who knew I may have needed it down the track. So I rang them and they are sending me a new one.

My offers-

Me- $5 gift card with a $50+ purchase at big w

Dad- free case of corona with a purchase of 10 bottles of wine from cellarmasters

Mum- nothing

Probably worth mentioning that you can get the INGdirect Orange Everyday visa card and get 5% off petrol whereever you go. That's worth about 8c off petrol without dockets etc You can read more about it here

I just signed up a few weeks ago. Stopped having to buy WISH cards as a result :)

For the first time in a long time no offers for any of the 4 accounts.

Still shopping at Woolworths though....

Do you guys change to per litre earning on fuel for QFF on your EDR card? I just did it on mine as mostly I buy from Coles. Just filled in 50 litres of fuel today at caltex woolworths. That will give me a whopping 100 QFF points lol. How long does it normally take to post the points ?

Hi k3nnis

if you have access to your everyday rewards account on the net you will see the everyday rewards post almost before you get home from the servo.

They then transfer to QFF once per week. So depending on where you are in your weekly cycle (I am not sure if it is the same day for everyone, but one day when I have nothing to do I can check) it could be one day or seven days to QFF transfer

edit to add: of course you got more points depending on what card you used?
or you used a WW gift card to save 5%?

On and on the game goes
