EDR Targetted Bonus Point Promotions

I've got the bigW thing for the second time. Also got a free 10 cent fuel voucher. Bit of a nothing offer since I have multiple 15 cent vouchers. Wish I got a points offer.

Me - 1,000 bonus points for $150 spend or 30c fuel voucher (chosen points)
Me - Bonus 10c fuel voucher
Dad - 300 bonus points for $50 spend or 15c fuel voucher (chosen points)
Dad - $10 off at Big W for $100+ spend on 13 December
Mum - $10 off at Big W for $100+ spend on 13 December
Brother - $10 off at Big W for $100+ spend on 13 December

Bonus points offers are gratefully received....

The merchant I buy gift cards from is now taking AmEx - Lets hope this lasts.

Now the real question is which AmEx category their merchant code falls into :p

Mrs LW just received another offer: "(name) tis the season for giving BIG" in the subject field.

mainpic2.jpg

Offer is from Big W. Don't think we'll go for this, unless I can piggyback with 3K Amex Offer for 3 retailers in Westfield. What do you think my chances are if I got 2 x $50 Gift cards from Big W using my Amex - would I get both??

Damn, I think the T&C's have got me:

This offer has been selected especially for you, cardholder xx_xx_xx_xx_, and can be redeemed once. Please activate your offer before you shop and swipe your Everyday Rewards card or enter your card number at the time of purchase to qualify for your reward. The qualifying amount must be spent in one transaction
Received that as well - It's valid ONLY on a $100+ Big W purchase tomorrow after 5pm:

Offer valid on Thursday 13 December 2012 at 5pm until store closing at BIG W stores and BIG W Online for orders placed on 13 December 2012 between 5pm and midnight. Offer excludes selected purchases including smoking/tobacco products, gift cards, BIG W Vision, DVD Kiosk purchases, selected services and selected online purchases including BIG W Photo and BIG W Movie Rental. Your Gift Card will be sent to the address you have listed in your Everyday Rewards account. Please ensure this information is up to date. Gift card not available on lay-by purchases.

RAC travel in WA take Amex with no surcharge for wish gift cards. Been this way for a while I believe. Probably comes under travel spend for 2 points per $ too...

Shintaro10x, nice spreadsheeting :D

Okay, you've convinced me to (try and) use Mrs LW's $150 offer...alas my car only takes 50l, so 1K points is the better offer than 15x 50 [750]

But I can't transfer the points from her account for another 6 months :( :o

Just got my quarterly statement. As expected my shop at BWS/WW/BIG W has gone down SIGNIFICANTLY!

edrq.jpg

My quarterly statement came through.

WW 165
Big W 5
Bonus Points 639
The 39 bonus points were from the week of winning. The other 600 were from offers received just before the drought occured.

EDIT: I just checked my records. The 600 bonus points were from purchases made in August and the bonus points were posted early September. I was surprised at the bonus point total versus the base point total so I went back and checked my records.

Slightly embarrassed here having a high spend with WOW, would be lower if I didn't have ~2k of wish cards to clear out... Still my spend this quarter was down approx 50% and the only winner really from the last 3 months was Coles...

My wifes' EDR Quarterly Statement came through last night and only 366 bonus points, instead of the normal 2K.

One positive was that in checking her account, she has a 15c fuel savings which will convert to 7.5x. Better than my 10c/5x so I'm using hers next

I moved on from bonus points but have found an uncapped credit card has been easy to use each month and often find I have to reload this card mid month. I particularly use the credit card to buy stuff at IGA and fruit from specialty fruit shops as Woolies stock is below par in my area. We don't buy private label brands from anywhere as we don't have a cat or a dog.

My quarterly statement just arrived - 2,360 points. A far cry from my previous quarters and I'm only thankful for the large fuel offers this quarter that I have converted to points (that don't show on the EDR statement - thankfully they do in my QFF one ;) ).

What really "annoys" me is the comment: "You have not redeemed a fuel saving voucher since 1 September ". Well, actually I have on numerous occasions, but my option is FFP's not fuel savings, you turkeys .

I am surprised at how many I earned...
DeKa: 6600 total made up from 545 at WW, 10 at BWS (that would have been heaps more previously), 3300 at Cellarmasters, 200 at Caltex (using high value vouchers) and only 600 or so bonus points)
MrsDeKa: 1500 total made up from 500 at WW, 10 at BWS and 1000 bonus.

In general our spend is way down across the WOW Group. I continue to fill up at Caltex using high value fuel / points vouchers rather than Shell. Points earn is way down ... 6 months ago we were earning 15000 points a quarter, mostly from bonus points. That was a lot of extra spend .. notably at BigW and BWS which is now directed elsewhere.

same with us. Few bonus points and not redeemed fuel voucher etc.. FFP here too rather than fuel discounts
