I do qualify but struggling to justify the Select with its large annual fee. I do still have the Krysflyer Amex though (given I negotiated a 1/2 price fee) so that gives me 1.5:1 and a Citibusiness card, may look to can those two at annual fee time and rely on just the Select.
It's worth it because you get to the point where it's 1.33 points on Visa vs 1.5 points on Amex so you really would only bother using the Amex when there's no additional surcharge on top of Visa which starts to cut its use.
If I had the 'taxable income,' I'd apply for the Select in a heartbeat!

Friends

I recently checked out of a 4* Paris hotel where Citi Select provided a free night.

That alone is worth more than 50% of the $700 annual fee.

One more night in LA and you get the card for free.

Not including the remaining features which I won't list for fear of being labelled a tout.

PS: took me 15 min on the phone to arrange that hotel stay. Could have been better, Citibank !

All my fuel vouchers have increased fro 4c to 8c on my account.
Noticed it advertised in the newspaper today. So I checked my account.

Would have to happen two days after filling my car, when the price was at its highest (had no choice...)

My targeted promos seem to have dried up.

Mine also. The only offer I seem to get via email these days is for extra fuel savings if I buy xx_. Absolutely no use to me as I don't own a car.

Bring back the days of a few hundred points for purchasing a roast chicken...

I'd be happy to try a product I've not used before for as little as 100 points (providing said product is under $5, increase to points as applicable). Maybe a company with a new product reading this post would consider talking to Woolies... :p

Now that Woolworths have increased their standard fuel vouchers to 8 cents, will they be offering better deals on their targeted offers for fuel vouchers? Some of the recent offers started at 6 cents which was competitive against the standard WW 4 cent voucher but didn't mean much for anyone who could spend $30 at Coles on anything. In my opinion WW will need to start their offers at 12 cents to make things worthwhile. My impression is that 12 cents is the standard starting point for Flybuys targeted offers when the standard fuel voucher at Coles is 8 cents.

My other thought is that WW might think that 8 cents is high enough for a voucher and members don't need more incentive to go to a WW petrol station apart from the extra 4 cents voucher on offer for spending $5 instore(yes I know you don't get this if you opt for points). Will this lead to a change in marketing policy? Will they finally go back to points offers? Maybe I'm dreaming. I think I'll go to bed now.

Nothing received as yet this afternoon - strange, they normally have popped one in our inbox by now :(

Maybe they think a blanket 8c litre is enough??

I filled up my wife's car yesterday using my 8c voucher (180 QFFP's + 110 VAFF's through Amex)

Then was told on my way home to pick up some things for dinner. Another 8c in the account.

Ok... update on Entertainment cards. I'm having a slowish morning so had time to check. I logged into the entertainment book site and tried a dummy booking for wish gift cards and can now confirm that Amex is a valid payment option for the wish cards only. It seems Coles/Kmart/Liquor and JB Hifi (to Jan 31 2013 only) are Visa and Mastercard only.... Not sure if that helps those Amex card holders....

oh...well done.
I didn't look far enough. I thought I'd tried before but it must have been through the RAA,who don't take Amex :)
Thank you for finding and than you for sharing
