EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Not hard when Myer gift cards are purchased, I have a collection on the fridge waiting for the next sale.

Would this behavior tend to increase the required qualify spend...?

Remember some offers have been a high as a ~$300 qualify, and most people would not do the Myer card trick... If the Qualify hurdle was $300 Markis, would you bite...? $400...? etc...?

I would still bite, because I am not really spending the money with woollies and there is the gratifying feeling when you double dip Myer One with EDR and then claim back on the TRS, adding to the 5% Myer discount.

I have not seen any evidence that my targets will increase, in fact since EDR started my spend has dropped and so has the targets.

$200 many people consider a very high spend to get 1000 points.
Understand. So do your shopping for next week as well.

Weren't some of the offers for $80 spend for 500 bonus points and $120 spend for $750 bonus points. Extremely generous offers and in my opinion much better than the individual targetted offers. But yes I know we are not all the same.

I thought my offer of 500 points for $80 was quite generous for a WW/EDR offer. I didn't take it up mainly due to bad timing. I'm waiting for a particular product to go on special and then I'd buy between $50 and $80 just of that one product. I've got a party coming up in a couple of weeks and I'm hoping for a similar offer on that weekend.

I can't really buy ahead for the following week due to a high proportion of our spending being on fresh deli meat, bread, milk, fruit and vegetables which will only keep for a certain length of time.

I got the 1000 points for $200 spend - armed with the Myer GC advice we're going to snap it up after we arrive back from MEL later today:cool:

is it possible to buy myer cards with discounted wish cards...?

Yes. I've been doing this for years. If you shop at any of the stores they have gift cards for (there are a few bigger retailers)... 5% off + EDR points. Pity they no longer sell the cards that used to work anywhere... it was literally free points and free money for a while.

I am a bit confused with this my offer for 500 points for $120 spend or 20c off fuel, clearly states in the T & C's that gift cards are exempt from the spend..am I missing something or does that just mean purchase of Wish Cards ?

They mean wish cards, other gift cards work.

Mrs Jukebox had a rather dubious hypothetical: if I was offered a $200 for 1000 point bonus at Big W on womenswear, and paid for it using cash and swiped my EDR card, then, 1 week later, took all the items (unused) back to the service counter for a no-questioned-asked-refund, would there be any way those 1000 points could be reversed?

I figured if I used a CC to pay for them, it could haunt me, but using cash (and forgoing those 200-300 points), I would still harvest 1170 EDR points, wouldn't I?

I do love the way my wife thinks! ;)

Your EDR is recorded on the receipt, which is referenced for a refund.

You can lose the normal points...not sure about the bonus points though, since these are separate from the standard points earning system...I'm not sure the system is clever enough to take these bonus points off you, but it will take the standard ones...

So you love shopping at Myer? Good on you. I cannot remember the last time I shopped at Myer and the last time I went in there most things were overpriced for my liking.

But it is good when people can find ways to reach their targetted offers. I need to spend another $20 or so in the deli for 200 bonus points. Some chicken snitzel to use for sandwiches to work, some basa fillets and perhaps some seafood mix. I have a burning desire to try and stir fry seafood mix but am undecide on a recipe.

Not sure love is a word I would use but I enjoy shopping there, 20% of Lego saw another gift card burned this afternoon and I use their price match facility quite heavily which is helped by a further 5% discount on the cards. Makes a difference for low margin product like Apple etc where I get Myer 1, EDR, 5% off and the a further 10 with TRS.

For people based outside the capital cities I.E Sunshine Coast - they're pretty much the only option along with the likes of hardly normal.

Me - Frozen food offer of 150 bonus points for $10 spend or 300 bonus points for $20 spend

Offer in early this week

200 points for a $20 spend on fresh meat. Achievable and I have freezer space just begging to be used.
