We've also both got the $30 for 3x$100 spend. No brainer when the weekly shopping budget is $250. But I've had 2 reminder emails about activating - this is your last chance. I activated the original email plus the first reminder and now the second reminder. I also had a per food offer a few months ago that EDR said I didn't activate. Needless to say I have to wonder if there is some problem with them recognising when I activate offers.

Has anyone else been getting multiple reminders to activate after already activating the offer?

Just ordered a replacement card. Mine didn't register at my last shop (and two people watched the girl actually scan the card). And my last two fuel fill-ups have required follow up phone calls to get points credited.

I had exactly the same thing, thought it was odd too. I definitely activated this $30 gift card offer the first time.

While not exactly a promotion... I did get a Big W email today. First in a while. No points specials though, just discounts. They don't know me well enough.

Has anyone else been getting multiple reminders to activate after already activating the offer?

I haven't received reminders but received a "congratulations, you're signed up" etc confirmation email on Wednesday, then received another headed "shop this weekend to be on your way to earning $30 to spend at Woolworths" with the same "congratulations, you're signed up and ready to make your first shop" message again today - a little concerning seeing as I already reached the $100 spend for this week two days ago!

I remember the first one of these offers I received - EDR actually sent you several update emails throughout the week advising how much you would still need to spend (taking into account shops already done that week) to reach the week's spend target, which was really handy. Only ever saw it the first time though, not in any gift card offers since then.

Yes I agree - I keep all my receipts for EDR as I have once before been told that I had only spend $50 instead of $100 on the 2nd week, therefore not qualified, and was declined the giftcard..... until I provided my receipts as proof as suddenly they agreed that I actually HAD spent the money (as i tried telling them) :o Hard to rely on techology
The technical problems you had with the email sound very interesting. A friend of mine had the same problem with one of her emails. She forwarded to me and I could read it but her email client wouldn't display it properly and it didn't have a web link displayed on the email. All of her other offer emails had come through clearly. I wonder whether there was an issue which affected lots of emails that were sent out.

That's pretty bad that they told you the wrong qualifying amount on the phone. It sounds like there are several technical hitches with this particular promotion already. I'm guessing this will lead to lots of claims at the end from people who thought they qualified but didn't qualify for various technical and other reasons.

Yes I have had multiple reminders. Not going to happen.

+1. I spent $180 on Wed but still got the same email as you. Deleted after mouthing some epithets at EDR for their incompetent ;)

The maths on that 3x$100 offer just doesn't add up for me. They're asking me to spend between $60 - $100 more than usual in order to get $30 back. I'm not an accountant but even I can see that's not a good deal. Yet they still keep hassling me to register!

I even got a reminder on the bottom of my docket yesterday that I could still register. I think I spent about $20 at woolies this week. $100 was definitely not happening.

Same Same - made me double check the receipt and registration

Male sure you 'rate this offer' and add a few words in the box - like 'insulting offer' or 'not a realistic offer Coles will see me..."

Just lately, we have been getting the "spend over $200 for 1000 bonus points". Which we jump at naturally.

Last shop was $206 (online)

Problem was, there standard mince was out of stock (what!). That brought the total down to UNDER $200 and hence, no bonus points. Grrrrr.

However, dropped a line to the feedback department and got the reply today saying they will credit us the 1K points.

WIN!

Might go a bit more over the target next time to allow for out of stock items.

Well done. I'll keep this in mind if I ever use online shopping again. It is a risk using EDR targeted offers and online shopping when the invoice won't be processed until the pickup/delivery day. I like to keep my totals exactly to the target amount but I know there could be issues if there was no stock or no good substitute. Thanks for letting us know about the EDR response to this issue. I know it may not always work but it is good to know it worked for at least one member.
