Yet. The timing of the beer with all the football finals...

It is not single selective marketing but population based. They're targeting the +/- 2SD of the 'average' shopper.

Given how cheap computing power is these days it really is a very low-grade effort by the majors.

Yup. I do drink beer, but I didn't get the offer.

Recharged my 2 kids Opal cards for a total of $30 last night and the spend $30 offer, get $5 back nicely kicked in. That is an additional 16.7% of Cityrail fares. And of course WW take Amex which Cityrail auto-top up doesn't.

Have you sent a thank-you note to Gladys B yet?

I received a timely offer of 500 points for $120 and 750 for $160.

I received the same offer. I couldn't see myself spending $120 at Woolies any time soon, let alone $160, but I activated it anyway. Just as well; the "light" shop that my 19yo did earlier this evening came to about $187. (Hate to think what it'd be if he did a "heavy" shop.)

Mrs QF WP got the BWS offer, which I registered but I doubt we'll use. Also she just got this from Big W:

We're away, so won't be able to use

Just looked at my docket and it's got a $10 off my next shop voucher (valid for a week) at the bottom. Happy with that.

I spent more than I usually do at Woolworths on Saturday 20 September and got a $10 voucher as well. I'd love to know what target triggered the voucher as well. Maybe if I'd split the shopping I could have gotten two vouchers. I used the voucher a couple of days later so it was very useful.

I also received this offer. However, Mr Natalie received a "we miss you offer" of 200 points for a $50 spend. I ended up using his offer, and spent just over $50.

Except for the recent $50 online spend for 2000 points, all of my offers for the past few months have all been for a minimum spend of $80. I dont think I've spent $80 on that card for easily 6 months.

$80 seems to be the minimum amount that EDR uses for most of their targeted offers. You can occasionally get $30 or $50 offers but these seem to be only for "we miss you" type offers even if they don't use the "we miss you" terminology in the email. If you shop at WW every week you're unlikely to get any $30 or $50 offers except for those strange online enticements offers (wish I could get another one of those).

I like the flybuys system where they try to match the targets with your regular spending. I've had offers as low as $30 and $40 from flybuys. Their offers tend to average out at $50 target for me.

I think the voucher is triggered simply by volume. For example, every 20 dockets. Recently the cashier pointed out to the lady in front of me that she had a voucher on her docket and she did not have an EDR card

No not quite. Woolworths has been running "a spend $100 in store get $10 off your next shop" promotion on weekends. It seems to be once a month and has happened for the third time.

Lucky me. I was in the unusual situation of having to spend over $100 at Woolworths in one transaction and due to the timing of events it just happened to be on the weekend. Thanks for figuring out the trigger point. I spent under $200 so I wouldn't have been able to get two vouchers if I'd split the transaction.

I didn't have to use my EDR card in order to get the voucher to work. When I used it later on in the week the $10 came off my transaction just on the voucher. I didn't use my EDR card in the follow up transaction.

Quite a successful week:

2 x 2,000 point online shops
1x $10 off on $50 spend
1x $5 off on $30 spend

Online shops were for specials at weighted average of 53% off full price. $50 spend was uncontrolled spending by boss and $30 was also specials.
Onwards & upwards...

I cannot be bothered registering for Flybuys as there is only so much money to be used for shopping.

How would Flybuys points compare to Everyday Rewards points?

How would Flybuys points compare to Everyday Rewards points?

Most flybuys rewards are redeemed at 0.5cents per point. For example $10 of flybuys dollars which can be used at Coles and some of the other major partners(not Coles Express) is 2000 points. There are some rewards which can be redeemed at 1 cent per point but these change from time to time.

Individual flybuys points are worth less than QFF points but flybuys throw so many offers at you, that you can easily make more than double the flybuys points per transaction than you could in an equivalent EDR/WW transaction. Flybuys also credits points from $1 rather than the EDR $30.

There's more detail of the conversions and usage of Flybuys and QFF points in the ebook on the supermarket loyalty programs in the AFF Knowledge Center.

I agree with rainbowgirl. Whereas flybuys points are generally only worth 0.5c per point when you redeem them, I reckon you get 3 to 4 times more of them than QF points at Woollies for the same sort of spend so I reckon you get much more bang for your buck than at Woollies.

I had one of the spend $100 each week for 3 weeks and "earn $30 to spend at Woolies". I completed the third shop last weekend and no voucher. Does anyone know if it's loaded onto the EDR card automatically like the fuel vouchers, or do they physically post you a gift card. I suspect an actual gift card because of the web link to update your details, but the T&Cs don't actually say. Anyone happen to know?

It's a physical gift card. I just went back and checked the original email which had terms and conditions down the bottom. If you don't receive the gift card by 10 November you can call Everyday Rewards to chase it up. The gift cards must be used by 31/12/14.

It's actually very confusing at the moment. There are multiple EDR promotions going on. Some offered a gift card, others a $50 or $100 discount on your next shop and the other one at the moment offers various $ off amounts instantly once a particular target has been reached.
