EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

As always buyer beware when it comes to costs of points etc, WOW might be $5 for lemons while coles is $1, I can normally beat either by going to the local market where anything over $1 a kg is expensive (excluding mushrooms which are $7). Same goes for meat, I have never seen MSA certified RUMP for $6.99 a kilo at any supermarket, nor chicken breast for $4.90 a kg. At the moment I am happily shopping at woolies for Bread and Milk and the odd chocolate bar, but would be lucky to spend more than $100 a month in total for our house!

My ridiculous spend amount at WW has finally been reduced. They now want me to spend from $100 to $150 to get between 150 and 300 bonus points, or more acceptable to me, between 7¢ and 12¢ per litre off fuel.

I also received the bonus 500 points to shop at WW, Big W and BWS.

So I have a question, as I’ve forgotten, does cash out increase the number of points I get or is it only on items I buy?

If cash out counted then we would all not be too fussed about the promos, we would just be churning cash each day! Speaking of churn, time for another gift card.......;)

From Big W- I just got a 1000 points deal if I buy a $398 AWA brand digital TV (42inch/106cm). In the same email I got an offer for 250 bonus points with a $30 spend.

Very similar offer to DeKa:

Mrs LW and Master LW received no offers.

I received:
- tiered offer on nappies (won't be able to use, Master LW is into underpants and a weeks worth of dry nights means no need for nappies any more, certainly no need for that much worth of swimming nappies)
- 250 points for $30 at BigW plus 1000 bonus for a $398 42" AWA TV (yes to the first, but we have a new 55" thanks :o )

Miss LW received (first exclusive offer):
- 100 points for $30 at Woolies (easy ;))

So to compare with shintaro10x, 4 accounts (4 people) and for last 2 weeks, offers for 50% of the accounts and running at 1.5 offers per offered account.

I got this as well. I also got a Woolworths spend a lot and get some points, >$150 for 300 points.

They can do better.

Somehow that ended up in my junk folder, so I also got that.

Do I really need a second TV?

The 250 points for a spend at Big W will fit in nicely with the 500 points for spending at WW, Big W and BWS. Thus I’m anticipating at last 750 points this week. Maybe a few more if I hit the WW spend too.

My brother received a simple offer this week

250 points for $30 at BigW plus 1000 bonus for a $398 42" AWA TV

Don't want the offers too complicated as then I start to spend, waste, money for a few bonus points....

Is there any way of retro claiming points?
If you show WOW receipt and CC, can that work?
I have done this in the past and I would hazard a guess and say that it would be possible in the future as long as you were not some sort of serial offender trying to rort the system.

Has anybody experienced a writeback of bonus points if you return goods that were subject to a bonus offer?

Would appear that I have nappies (Woolies) and a HDMI cable (Big W) that are superfluous to the needs of my family. Of course, I have the receipts ;)

Yep, same one for me, too.

And combined with the 150 points for spending $10 on pet stuff at Big W offer that also arrived, makes it an easy 650 points this week.

Maybe it's a reward for snubbing last week's 300-points-for-two-roast-chickens...
Same here but 250 points for $30 big w spend.

Just got two more offers, (a day later than my offer) for Mrs VC and Miss VC (my two new accounts). Both for 100 points for $30 spend at WW. Looks like I'll be splitting the bill for this week's shop.

Now here's a question. To activate the offer, I can choose points or fuel discount. I wonder if that overrides the account preference of QFF points (if I select the fuel offer which is 10c per litre, and higher value that 100 points).

I'll try this out and report back.

Well I just became a member of the RAC WA, thanks to a tip here, so my woolies and Myer shopping just got 5% cheaper, once I get back my joining fee, which will happen when I upgrade my Webber Q at Rays ;)

If you select Fuel Voucher (from WW) then the fuel voucher is assigned to your account. When you fill up, the fuel voucher integer is halved and multiplied by the number of litres you fill up with.. so a 10cpl voucher becomes 5 points per litre. If you can fill up with more than 20L, you will be better off going the fuel voucher option rather than the points option from WW.

Did a Coles shop this morning.

First time that caught my eye - Lemons; WOW $4.98kg (yesterday), Coles, 98 cents kg today.
Coles Tuna was 90 cents a tin, no min buy.
Abbott's bread was $3 a loaf and l didn't have to buy 2 loaves to get a good price, unlike WOW where you usually have to purchase 2 loaves to get a good price.

So, if you don't get a WOW offer in your inbox, Coles does have some good variety and competitive prices to WOW.
Mrs Albatross is convinced and can demonstrate that the meat is better from Coles than from WOW. She buys most grocery items at WOW but then goes to Coles to buy the meat.
