EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

Serfty, I think JohnK is talking about a targeted offer, not the current Select 2 for 50 one - unless there has been a Select oral one that I haven't seen.

The oral care promo I had was any 4 - I spent $5.72
I bought 4 tubes of Colgate toothpaste for $11.36. I really hate buying things I do not need or forcing myself to use something I do not want....

Interesting offer(s) for the family this week

Me - spend $200 at Woolworths for 150 bonus points, $230 for 200 bonus points and $250+ for 300 bonus points
Mum - double points of spend of $30+ at Woolworths

If they are trying to increase our spend it is not going to work. Easy to see which offer will be utilised this week....

One of the brands listed in my email was palmolive - colgate palmolive means I was happy to get toothpaste. Also got floss and 2 toothbrushes. I'll need them after consuming 112 packets of cat food ;)

I literally LOL'd when I read that.

I got the same pet offer. Needed cat treats anyway. Found the resealable packet on the floor (courtesy of the cat), which was ripped apart and empty (courtesy of the dog). They are now in a plastic container. The treats, not the animals.

I thought to add that the new diet is havoc on my bowel. The cat's not going too well either. ;)

Today is a select free day now the promo is over, just have to wash it down with a drop of wine!

Ah good, some respite.

Was talking to a fund manager yesterday at a lunch session about Woolies v Coles and their relative positions. He agreed that the WOW EDR program was better than Coles FlyBuys and I commented that EDR appeared to be driving higher sales than Coles currently. He was a bit bemused as to how and I shared a snippet of information about their bonus point offers driving sales where the points/$ value to the customer was better than FlyBuys. He wanted to know how I knew about this :o :D (I did state personal experience)

Same; I went for a few toothbrushes and mouthwash which were needed anyway.

And I've stocked up on cat food for this weeks offer, and made the most of it by buying the select food. The cat likes it so I'm not complaining.

Re: EDR General Promotions

Interesting. Log into personal email to find an offer for Mrs LW (who hasn't shopped or had an offer for a month):

WOW buy any hair care - 2 products 100pts, 3 for 150, 4 for 200.

Have to investigate this one to see whether cost justifiable...

Hmmm, interesting product line

This will do nicely [$1.33]
This product is looking cheap (and nasty - no way I'm using it, anyone want a free sample ;)) [$1.80]
We actually do need this product for my daughter [$2.70]
And to add some bathtime cleanliness for the kids [$2.70]
and in case I can't find one of these, then perhaps some of these (with 2 or 3 varieties between $2.40 and $2.55) or this [$1.98]

Good thing now is that I just need to open up the thread and this post when I'm shopping ;) :D [$8.53 - or cheaper - for 200 points]

Re: EDR General Promotions

I just got an email from Big W offering 200 bonus points when you spend $30 or more in one transaction on toiletries, beauty care & cosmetics.

Another easy 200 points. :)

Re: EDR General Promotions

had to chase bonus points today......first month that I have used the spreadsheet and checked it and picked up two errors.....so the operator posted the bonus points for the WOW shop but would not do the Big W one until after tomorrow the 7 day cut off from the end of the promotion. Would of lost 300 points if I didn't have the spreadsheet.

Another email hot off the press with a stange promotion.

Dad - Save an extra 10% off for 4 days only at Dick Smith Lidcombe. Only applies to items already discounted by 15%-40%

I just received that one as well. Don't live anywhere near Lidcombe, but as it doesn't seem to be targetted (ie linked to an individual account), it might be helpful to anyone who lives near that store.

I received the 10% offer for Frankston - again a closing store.

Posted on a wing and a prayer ...

Easiest 200 points, took 4 minutes including paying at self service. 3 items we need, 1 that I'll give away or throw away - at $1.68 I can live with that.
