if you log into emirates website booking does it say yours booking / flight is cancelled ?
Same as your flight, nothing on the EK website states its cancelled and seat selected

Since its a QFF rewards booking, is there any way this may get re-routed from SIN-DXB-MEL or straight refund?

And now the battle with Qantas begins. Lets see what alternative FF flight reward they offer to get us home. I have low expectations. Pretty unlikely to be the biz class seats we had booked with emirates

I would wait to see what options the Qantas website's new self-service rebooking tool spits out. You might be offered business class flights on Qantas, or possibly even on other airlines as well.

This is fairly common :(

If they cancel the flight now they’ll have people ringing wanting to know their options and suggesting alternatives.

By keeping the bookings active, the call centre will likely say ‘call back once the flight is cancelled’.

It buys them time, and allows them to look after their top tier frequent flyers first… giving them first crack on other flights.

Oh no i was waiting for today to book (with the expectation of cancelling). As it opened up a potential return leg just in case emirates didn't cancel.

The lounge might get very busy from April with two flights departing basically at the same time

Are we thinking those of us who booked with QFF points will just get a refund? Or any chance EK will work out a deal with Qantas to put us on their service?
My hope would be for Qantas to offer a same class same day or close enough on one of their birds. But knowing Qantas that is highly unlikely. Probably be something like ….here is an economy seat this is best we have otherwise here are your points back

Final outcomes will likely depend on what stage the Charm Offensive is at...
