Epiqure Bonus 8000 points for any 24 bottles

I ordered a second 2 dozen of the Festive Season Mixed Dozen. $150.00

In my Qantas FF account the first order posted 8,900 points but my second order posted just 900 points. So no 8,000 point bonus on subsequent orders it seems. :(

The text did flash up on the second order however.

Maybe the bonus points will post later on as it does suggest that they can take up to 6 weeks. Maybe the calculator monkeys are receiving medical attention due to AFF member purchases overload!

I ordered Friday and they arrived today!

I ordered Friday 11am (and again on Monday) and haven't even got a consignment number for either order yet. Maybe you don't get one if they decide not to use Australia Post?

All my orders on Friday have not arrived either!

But it looks like Aus Post is the courier that will be used

I just went back for another few orders

Just a reminder points fans, today is the last day for the bonus points!

It would be nice if the points fairy granted an extension for two weeks, those on monthly pay cycles often get their Xmas bonuses on the 15TH ;)

FYI for orders made 24 hours after this 8000 bonus point promotion came out orders will take approximately 5 business days for delivery to metro areas.

Thanks, mine still haven't arrived, but my Cellarmaster ones did from last week!

Just been catching up on this thread

So very tempting as a new member to go after the 27,000 points for $600, but there is a big sticking point here...I don't drink wine! Neither does anyone in the immediate family (well, certainly not in quantities we are talking about :P)...

markis10 you were talking about the bonus wine being worth $50 or so at an auction, is that easy to do?

I don't really drink wine either. But when the wines are effectively free, a 4-6 pack replaces minor presents for people throughout the year.

This is true.

Although I could buy 30,000 AA miles (20k + 10k bonus) for a similar price which would get me a bit further than 27,000 QFF points. (excluding any possible gain from the bonus bottle)

You would need to check with a profesisonal outfit like oddbins etc, but given its RRP of $135, and reviews:

Jacobs Creek 35th Anniversary Padthaway Shiraz 2005
Trophy Winner (& a Stodart winner from 06), I'm guessing this is Lawsons under a new label and given some special treatment. Whatever it is, its a winning wine. Intense, hugely sweet & oaky in that bright, musk sticks and iced coffee style, with some of the unusual florals and complexity that this famously unusual vineyard can produce. Very smooth. Huge. Almost too big & sweet fruited. 18.5

I would suggest $50 is resonable, unless a lot comes on the market at once! I note $34 is the estimate here for an auction last year for a couple, so like any auction it comes down to what people are prepared to pay on the day/night:

Seems simple enough then.

Might poke around and see if any of my friends want some wine :)

No email today yet, unlike the last bunch of thursdays! I suspect they are too busy, and have found out what works, hope they tell EDR!

Hahaha!

I let the offer slide. Doing the maths it was about neutral to me in terms of benefits minus the wine.

Yeah ... Was hoping for another juicy offer too. I imagine the next one will be pretty tame though

Just got two of them. One for an order almost a week ago and the other for an order this week. :)
