Yes it's about 28000 points for a $600 spend

I value those points at $1100 for my use, so I am getting paid to drink

What is your use for them? While I like to use them for 3c/point+ purposes, I value them at 2c/point to ensure I don't go crazy.

Australia to USA business class seats

192000 points +$700ish will get you a seat using FF points which is worth about $6500-$9500 depending on any sales, but for this we'll say $8000 as Qantas is generally priced around this point

Take off the $700 in taxes so $7300 is saved by using 192000 points

7300 divided into 192000 points is 3.8cents per point

So 28000 points x 3.8 cents is $1064

Ordered 2 festive dozens and 2 dozen botrytis. Never ordered before and this is month 3 of membership so I figuge I should be getting 8000+8000(bonus per 2 dozen)+2000+8000 (bonus for 1st and 4th dozen)+564x3 (3 p/$) +564 (1p/$ card) = >28000 points. At 2c/point I just got 4 dozen free wines (if i redeem prior to any potential devaluation).

Is this points calculation correct or have i missed something?

It's not even a question

I am tempted to go back for one more order of 4 x 12......

Ok, ordered another 2 dozen....you guys will be responsible for my liver transplant!. So $600 outlay should attract 28700 QF points (incl. the 900 QF points for a $600 purchase using my Amex Earth Plat card!) I'm more conservative, and using a value of $0.03 per QF point redeemed, 28700 QF points is valued at $861...so i have gained $261 + 4 dozen bottles of wine (:shock:!)

PS: I wonder if my +1 would be annoyed if I ordered 4 dozen bottles of wine for her:p:mrgreen:?

Damn you epiqure, I'm on a diet, shouldn't be drinking! But ... the points ... !

8 dozen - 4 for me and 4 for Mr SW. Thanks for the heads up! & for the free membership info in the other thread.

Does Mr SW know about that?

Yes, & he's a very happy little vegemite - quite excited about some of the wines in the Taste of Qantas, plus we picked up a dozen stickies from De Bortoli - alas not the Noble One.

I ordered a second 2 dozen of the Festive Season Mixed Dozen. $150.00

In my Qantas FF account the first order posted 8,900 points but my second order posted just 900 points. So no 8,000 point bonus on subsequent orders it seems. :(

The text
Qantas epiQure members will receive 8,000 bonus points when they purchase 24 bottles or more in a single transaction*. Please note, full points earn will not appear on your tax invoice however will be credited to your account within six weeks. *Terms and conditions apply.
did flash up on the second order however.

I think you'll find that the 8000 you received is perhaps for your 4th case for the year or similar....

And that the 2 x 8000 bonus won't appear till later.

The 8000 bonus you received the first time was for ordering your 4th dozen, it's an automatic posting.

the 8000 promo per 2 dozen currently on is a seperate promo and will credit within 6 weeks

Ahh!! Thanks! :) It was lucky for me to get the 8,000 then, because while it was indeed my 4th dozen from epiQure, the first 2 dozen were from my previous membership year.

So I'll have another 16,000 points coming within 6 weeks? Nice! :)

I have now ordered 12 x dozen wines, that's still less than 6 months of wine supply.

Hmmm maybe two more orders of 2 x 12

(Clarified my orders)
