Just got two of them. One for an order almost a week ago and the other for an order this week. :)

I think they meant offer emails, not "order dispatched" emails.
Weird though, cos my orders were dispatched this evening as well. Maybe they were waiting on a back order?

All my orders placed between Friday-Tuesday are now showing as dispatched and the emails were received a few hours ago stating such

Ahhh yes... you are right. Silly me  But it did take almost a week to dispatch - I guess they were out of stock of one or two of the wines?

8 dozen - 4 for me and 4 for Mr SW. Thanks for the heads up! & for the free membership info in the other thread.

Yes, my thanks to. I'm thrilled with my points received so far - 2900 for my first 2 doz, and 9500 for the second (join up bonus's of 2000 for 1st order and 8000 for 1st 48 bottles, plus the triple points). Just waiting on the two by 8000 from this offer (and the wine now)

I cant think of a nicer way to earn points - and just before Christmas too

Got home from work yesterday to find a delivery advice that 3 of my 4 cases had arrived and could be picked up from a post office....one hour away from where I live! Despite indicating the delivery should be left in the front porch (am on acreage so no security issues with parcels being left). There are at least 6 closer post offices, 3 of which are within 5 minutes of my house. Not impressed.

Sounds like a chat with the local PO manager is in order, given the deliveries are the responsibility of Oz Post.

Hahaha!

I let the offer slide. Doing the maths it was about neutral to me in terms of benefits minus the wine.

OK but don't say that I didn't offer to help you out :)

But if you did send me the wine, I would promise to give you a couple of 'Likes' :)

If you aren't in a rush, I'm sure that they could transfer them to a much closer post office for you.

Was it a post office they took it back to, or a parcel distribution centre? They don't seem to take big heavy items to the local PO anymore (probably OH&S issues with lifting over the counter?).

It says a post office (and it's in a remote beachside suburb). There is a parcel distribution centre 5 mins away and that would have made more sense.

Seems a bit strange - perhaps a contractor was being lazy.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of this going on. I have many friends who work from home and are there for deliveries yet there is never a rung bell or a knock on the door - only a card in the mail box saying the delivery person had called but no one was at home. Very poor form.

I have asked for mine to be delivered to my PO Box. With heavy items, I just usually go round the back door of the PO and collect there. I don't blame the workers not wanting to lift those boxes.

And I am still waiting for my order...waiting, waiting...

A relative who owned a post office pointed out to me that the contractors get paid extra if they have to return the parcel to a PO. We had this happen a number of times, lodged a formal complaint and now ours are always delivered/left where requested. Not sure if it's the same contractor;). JV

Big weekend with 6 dozen delivered over the two days - SWMBO QFF account has received a near 12K boost, now awaiting the bonii ...

Phone call one to remote beachside post office... transferred to fax.
Phone call two to remote beachside post office... we don't have any parcels for you. Hung up on me.
Phone call three to remote beachside post office...we don't have any parcels for you but suggest you ring one of the 3 closer post offices, sorry, can't help you with where it might have gone as tracking numbers are incorrect.
Phone call four to usual post office... we don't have any parcels for you.
Phone call five to another post office... we have 3 of 4 cases of wine. 4th is missing. According to Aust Post it was delivered with the others despite there being only 3 of 4 cases.
Not loving Aust Post today.

Unbelievable. You'd think it was fairly simple.

I have a local PO that employs mail people who cannot read, got to the point I took photos of the four mailboxes for the premises and then wrote who owned them on the photos (they were already marked), that did the trick for a few months, in the end we got a PO box!
